I guess the gazebos are more a Chinese thing. But yeah, it's true, those little villages still exist, there just aren't that many of them anymore. But hey, I live here, so I've probably gotten used to the surroundings, just like anywhere. There are beautiful places everywhere!

Here's an old one from way back, inspired after I read "The Ancestor's Tale" by ol' Dawkins.

Seems like your avatar is a replica of an albino goo.

Like this? More Goo here

Wow! I've got an insatiable appetite for anything that looks quasi-Worms like, and you have made my day. Love the colour schemes!

I like the rat. Yes, yes I do.
Also, in regards to the ETQW thing- it can be run with pretty low settings, and at least according to my bloat-eradication-obsessed friend, runs faster on some Linux builds. Might be worth looking into for you.
Anyway, I love your mechanical drawings, they look... right. They don't seem too "Hey guys let's add wires" and they aren't too smoothed over, either.

I'll look into it, but I must say, I'm running a gutless laptop, so it's probably out of the question. I can still run UT2K4, though...it has a decent vehicle selection, so that'll do. Until I pack some sort of wonderful PS3. I've been dreaming of that day.

And yeah, the "lets add wires" concept does seem forced on a lot of pics out there, but there is a time and a place. I went through a "lets add vents" phase a while back, but its lessened off. I do love a good set of coolant vents, though.

Pylon, much love for your art. Totally love the rendered style that ya got going. Its very reminiscent of old James Hawkins/Hawkprey's inks and pencils. Cheers mate.

Wow! Bob, thanks for that link! I'm in love. Yeah, never got around to learning the tricks of the trade with photoshop or that kind of thing with graphics tablets. Just something wonderful about a grassroots pencil/paper job. A relic of the past!

So much good art out there, it's awesome.

Go to my web site and read the photo shop tut.
I was just starting with that technique then so the result isn't great. :-(
Oh yeah, I learnt it from Kyle fro 2d boy so thats why its similar. Also I just draw similar stuff even before I knew about WOG(view "Ascending to Hell" in my gallery).

As long as you don't go "Hey, let's add wings", "spikes", or "barrels." All three are really overused. Especially in the later Gundam series'.

Buhr...yes, there's no way I'd get into the spikes, wings etc. It all smacks very much of WH40K's Chaos marines, which in their own right are fine, but I just can't hack the forced "Gaaaahhh, so tainted! Look at my skulls and spikes, upon which the skulls are placed! And my ornate batwing jetpack! Gaaaah!"

I probably don't own enough metal CDs to appreciate the "darker" choices in life. :P

I'm going to wait for you to get more tutorials up, but you have a really unique art style that could actually be really cool in a XBL arcade game.
