After I made the monotone symbol, I decided to anti-alias it, then went all the way. Makes a nice little Halloween art, I suppose EDIT: Added a dagger and made it more symbol-like. Got pushed off the page, so cheeky bump.

Re: Art Dump
Bahaha, point out some pillow shading for me, if you please ::Edit:: I didn't see what you were talking about but I did take some steps to make the light source appear further to the side.

Re: Art Dump
The lighting really doesn't make any sense at the moment. I'd go back to flat shading, and redo it, keeping in mind that the light source is at the right.

A quick sketch, not altered on the computer, barring cropping and shrinking to fit forum size limit. GIMP colored version and (real) pastel colored versions coming soon.

Re: Art Dump
Geti, I really like that. The expression is great, and overall it looks like the character in Prelude has reached his late thirties; receding hairline, wrinkles, et cetera.
I also love the outline style you're using, he really pops out, even against a similar coloured background.

Re: Art Dump
I realised I was doing the Prelude character's hair halfway through, heh. Glad you like it. Ran out of time. Meh.

Re: Art Dump
Started working on this, but I messed up quite a bit. The "holding gun" pose is very difficult for me.

Re: Art Dump
@lafe It's a bit hard to make out some of the details on the soldiers. I'd suggest working on proportions and human form. Try drawing figures without armor first, then add armor later. The torsos and heads look fairly solid, but the legs and arms need a bit more refining in form. The top hats make them look classy.
