Re: Art Dump
3D isn't my cup of tea, so I don't know if I can really provide much criticism... But damn, those are some lovely pieces of art.

Re: Art Dump
Goddamn, I haven't played with terragen for aaaaaaaaages. TG2 was where it was at, though I got in a bit of strife for using the schools computer as a render farm one weekend Also yeah, 2 is needed for planets without a ridiculous number of hacks, and also for putting down vegetation and the like. It's a bloody fun thing to play with though, one of the programs that got me obsessed with procedural generation actually.

Re: Art Dump
hello i am going to be your bossfight today prepare for lasers Also blur because it's a cropped in-game screenie. Automatic rotation of sprites generally involves some blur.

Re: Art Dump
Dunno man, with a top-down sprite you are going to rotate you should usually have light coming from top.

Re: Art Dump
It's just the small turrets that rotate, but i guess you have a point. I think my shading would end up looking odd if it came from the camera, though. Mainly because it's so easy to accidentally slip into pillow shading (dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuun).

Re: Art Dump
Try to include some more interesting shapes, to me it currently looks like a flying box.

Re: Art Dump
Today I tried ArtRage I have mixed feelings about how this came out. Also, AR feels very natural, I reccomend it. The character is from some game.

Re: Art Dump
I mean, what would be considered 'art' by this threads' standards?
Edit: For instance, is it limited to drawings?

Re: Art Dump
So far we have had drawings, CGI, and some .gif animations - but those were frowned upon by Grif.

Re: Art Dump
I'd say if it took work, and it can be transferred to a picture, it'll count.

Re: Art Dump
I posted a poem here once, and nobody minded. It's technically art, I suppose.
