Re: Art Dump
I agree that the lines are thick, but not extremely so. I think a really thick outline style could have interesting stylistic effects. That looks pretty cool, right there.

Re: Art Dump
Well, the tiles need to be reduced to 10px square (with 8px square centred as the hitbox) so the lines will likely remain about the same relative thickness in retrospect

Re: Art Dump
I should take a better look at this Exile thing you have going, Geti. Appears very interesting.

That's not for exile, its for prelude, which is a fort construction game with zombies.

Well, it is thuggish, but probably just a little too extreme. I only dislike it cause along with his chin it makes his face feel kind of concave, idk. matty406 wrote: That's one reason i should check it out more. So i can distinguish them. Hahah, fair enough then.

Re: Art Dump
@Matty406: Bolt guns do not operate on a gas blowback mechanism. They are more like rapid-fire rocket launchers than guns. The reason being that even though each round has a casing, it is very short and contains just enough fuel to get the munition out of the barrel at a sub-sonic velocity; the internal propellant of the bullet accelerates it the rest of the way. This is why Bolt guns don't blow your arm off from recoil even though they are insanely high caliber weapons.

Re: Art Dump
I know. What i'm getting at in my design, though, is the first stage not having enough power to push the bolt back. So instead the thrust from the rocket propelled part forces exhaust gas into the barrel and up into the gas tube, pushing the bolt back.

Re: Art Dump
So I made some wallpapers. The first one failed, badly... (But I learned some new tricks, so it was useful.) I kinda like the second one though. The explosion is actually fully functional and could be animated, but I'm way to lazy to do that.(or let my pc run for a day....) EDIT for Grif: Some kind of area denial über cannon weapons thingie.... Looks really neat in my opinion. EDIT for Grif: It uses magic, plasma and a ultra power ray to make the parts float and the centre glow. (Sorry if this stretches your page, doesn't with me....)

Re: Art Dump
i like the second, but the glows are awful. light doesn't add like those glows do when they overlap and they need to be softer. fix it and ill smile

But you're right, looks bad. Don't feel like fixing it right now. Anyway, slightly more impressive wip: Will be some kind of quadped mech, I think I'll go for a Russian winter color scheme.(white with red star.) I think I'll arm it with 2 cannons on the side, maybe AA. Dunno. (Didn't notice it was 320x240 until I uploaded it, sorry....)

Re: Art Dump
I think an AA turret would go well with that. Also, fresh from the forge world Estaban VII, the Novus Aevum bolter.
