Self explanatory, based off Arne's design of the Medium CMF Soldier. Took me 6 hours, maby because it had to be based off Arnes design?... :-(

Just curious, when you're shading, do you apply the colors yourself, or do you just color the shaded parts in one layer then make it overlay?
Would immensely appreciate it if you shared :>

Btw that thing's awesome. Loving the style

Depends what I'm doing. Recently I've been doing cold shadows on a multiply layer and hot highlights on an overlay to keep my access to changing the colours around there, but if I'm feeling lazy I just do some hue and value shifts for highlights and shadows and paint on one or two layers (lines are usually kept separate).

Hating the head, can't get it to do what I want. Decided the orcs should be topheavy muscle men with ridiculous lats for fun. I'll do a version w/ armour once i've got the anatomy down. I want to get the whole "brute" feeling going while able to keep them kind of naive and tribal.

Oh yeah, might do some EXILE related coding tonight btw, as I'm minding some kids and I'll have a lot of time with very little to do but code. That, or I'll get working on this, and polish up the redscarves some more. The latter is more likely actually :P

40-50 minutes? I dicked about with it more, but I should do some more thumbs of it and get the head nailed..
I think I'll make the ears stand out from the head. The goblins are likely to have some form of batlike ears, and the cutebolds and elf-equivalents have pointy ears too. I'll fiddle with the whole thing a lot more before I'm done with it though. I'm not happy with the face (though I kind of like the idea of a flat nose-bridge)

That looks awesome geti, though not like an orc, more like a goblin on steroids.

 Wow hope to see your designs in the game Geti... if only... the scale in cc wasn't so tiny... (I know why it has too be like that though)
:( really destroys a good design (the feel to it). :-(
Though hint keep it that way -with the alien feel to it-.

I don;t like the smoothness of it.
Pixelize that crap.

Also tint the grass block a nice tan to fit in with the Ye Olde Minecrafte theme.

The left side is brighter than the top, that's bad. Make the top brighter and the left side darker.

It's not quite isometric at the bottom. Looking good though. I'd like to request smaller renderings and a link to a HD version of it though :P My tiny screen gets it's margins ruined all over the place while they're loading.

I'll design my orcs how I want them, and my goblins thus as well. *snooty face* heh, I need to work on the face a little more. Goblins are going to be frailer in this than they usually are. Sort of like Tolkien's orcs than DF's goblins. We'll see how it turns out.

I'm not sure how to respond to this. These designs are for one of my games, not Cortex Command. Also I'm fairly sure I've got a little more experience with design than you, but never mind.

All i did was slap it in paint, reduced it then brung it back to size thus quick, but not of great quality. As i said i'm not quite sure about it, or happy with it. In fact i don't know why i made it, to be honest. :???:
