Re: (now a zombie killing effectiveness thread)
Very well, I shall appease Geti and get back to killing zombies. What do you guys think of turning a car into a giant chainsaw? By which I mean motors and rollers in a square around the car, with a razor-sharp chain.

Re: (now a zombie killing effectiveness thread)
well, i suppose it could work, but chainsaws generally end up snagging in flesh, so it likely wouldn't work too well with more than one zombie, plus you'd be making a lot of noise and burning fuel the whole time.. however, if we're discussing non-traditional weapons, what about a circular saw on a pole? you could rig up the "trigger" fairly easily, and it would provide a better, less tiring alternative to a pole arm for defending a house, assuming you have power (generator or otherwise). Again though, it would be pretty noisy. I think power tools as a whole are generally a bad idea when you're dealing with zombies..

One of them hydraulic spike things on a pole? They're comparatively quiet and still effective.

Jackhammers are giant vibrating tuning forks, hydraulic cylinders are totally different.

Re: (now a zombie killing effectiveness thread)
Very well, there goes the chainsaw car idea, but what about one of those giant inflatable human hamster balls reinforced with steel bands and covered in spikes? If anything, at least you'd have a shitload of fun.

Re: (now a zombie killing effectiveness thread)
Polearms are slow and cumbersome to use. They have long reach, but you'll need a second or two for each swing, and while that doesn't sound like a lot, it really is. Especially when surrounded by hundreds of upright bodies.

If you wanna use a scythe, you also have to wear a black hood at all times. It's science. True story.

Re: (now a zombie killing effectiveness thread)
Somehow, I doubt the effectiveness and practicality of a scythe. Mostly because they seem pretty much just like polearms.
