People get banned because they either broke a rule or were a total waste of space. Damn this pointless thread.

But, really, when we ban people, we have reasons.

If we didn't, then the other mods would see to it that we either provided one, or stopped being a mod.

Although I actually probably ban the least out of all the mods.

I have a sickening feeling that this isn't really by choice.

I've probably banned the most in my short tenure (by bans/day), though that's mostly alts. I have a strong bias against people trying to skirt bans.

@HK: If you're asking if Grif is specifically told not to ban, that's not the case. I think the current team actually gets along quite well.

More of that Grif wants to ban quite a few people who have done nothing wrong, but whom he finds idiotic or detestable. Example: His post right above us.

It's still by Grif's choice because he chooses not to obey his personal desires over proper moderator expectations.
