Re: Perfect Game
Dang it duh, you ninja'd me out of context. I had a nice little rambling about how the perfect game is pretty much by definition unfeasible and currently unattainable, and that it was thus implied that those wouldn't be factors of this hypothetical discussion.
Anyways, I like FPSes, RPGs, and racing games quite a lot, and those couldn't really be combined well, as far as I imagine. So I don't know whether the perfect game, in the context of my opinion, would be a perfect game under one of my favorite genres, include separated aspects of all of my favorite genres, or actually blend all those genres into one core gameplay, while maintaining perfection.

Spore could've been this awesome... Game Genres Possible: Vehicles: - Car: Racing, RTS - Plane: DogFight, RTS, Racing - Boat: Naval Battles, RTS, Boat Racing Ages: - First Stage is an RTSish thingy - Animal Stage could've had more rpg prospects, expanding on picking things up. - Tribal Stage is already a nice, if rather tedius RTS - City Stage could've been improved a lot, it should allow you to pilot the vehicles, or go into FPS mode and shoot things with a blaster gun or something. - Space Stage was supposedly epic, but it got boring, the quests were completely unoriginal after awhile and you could never conquer the whole galaxy, simply because your too busy defending everything. Other Game Modes which would've been awesome: - Racing - Dogfights - Fighting Arena [Like KOF or SF kind] - Better RTS modes - FPS melee or something Seriously, spore had the potential to be a truly epic game, but the godamn creators RUSHED it.

Re: Perfect Game
Fallout 3 is kinda the basis on my doubts that my favorite genres mix well, since I didn't like it much, while I did like Oblivion, and Fallout 3 is notorious as being Oblivion + guns. I suppose I should give it another chance sometime though.

Basically GTA4 + BFBC2 = *Drools* No, it would be GTA4 with Euphoria and DMM. The destruction motor of BC2 is not so good.

Re: Perfect Game
An FPS using Project Natal for realistic movements, realistic weaponry, including a dumbed-down version of Far Cry 2's weapon jamming, destructible environments (BF:BC2), Open World and RPG elements (Fallout3), Singleplayer/Multiplayer AT THE SAME TIME (toggle switch, I dunno), Racing (Burnout Paradise), Flying (Don't play any flying games, but would be cool anyway), Object modification (gun mods, car mods, clothing etc), SUPER-HIGH level of object interaction (RtD style ) and, and, and ... I think thats it. But mostly, I just want Project Natal with an FPS, but I know it will never happen

Re: Perfect Game
I've got one. The closest games are on-rails shooters and a Medal of Honour port. But I tend to spend my time playing Guitar Hero on the Wii, since I have most of the Wii-GH games and the full band set
