Guarantee that you're never going to get good if you don't draw it out on paper first.

Spoilers: Any good drawing you've seen was probably done this way.

That could be one of the most incredibly ignorant things I've ever heard you say. I'll just say that this is outright bullhocky. and that it should only be treated with a grain of salt.

Also, oppsoed to al.chemy, I'm a huge fan of PAINTER. It, while not technically better than PS has more innovation to it. If you want and example

Spoilers: Most of Andrew Jone's art is done purely in Painter.

Except that is not true at all. I know of many professionals who draw straight into PS.

Going to just go ahead and tell you to read more.

The verdict: Photoshop wins in the second round via the knockout.

Verdict: People on a 100-person forum who know near-nothing about the drawing community think Photoshop is great for everything ( ´_ゝ`)

Link me to where he says that. And he's obviously not a pure digital artist, read his biography. He's worked with other mediums, and I can almost guarantee they were before digital art. Linking to his site just proved my point, thanks~

By the way he clearly draws most things in abstraction without definite scene. A quality of most digital artists as they rely on the program.

The program itself won't make anyone good at drawing, it's the skill behind the person using the program. Therefore, based on the one using it, Photoshop could be great for everything.

Pro-Tip:
Andrew/Android Jones is one of the most hated members of the concept art community.
Mostly because he comes off as a douche, and doesnt strive to be a better artist, he spends too much time trying to get people to know about him.
