I think it's probably gonna end up as a mix of cinder-block and metal parts for details.

Petethegoat wrote: Miles, remember that technically none of this is true iso, so you want to adjust by 26 deg instead of 30. the example in the first post has 2/1 (rise/run) for the lines... Skew 30 causes 2/1 as well, and therefore works, Everything other than 30 caused it to be offset part way through. also I'm contemplating drawing something like 2fort from TF2... no idea why though. probably just gonna play that instead.

Update, recoloured. Not sure if I like the waterfall though, what do y'all reckon?

You forgot to add the flag to the shadow.

Re: DRL City! Turn ends next Wednesday!
Here's a hideously small construction site thing I'm tacking up now in the event that my modem decides to bake itself before Wednesday and I haven't had a chance to put up something actually decent. (Eh, if I'm even in the game anyways. Good fun either way.)
Hah, WIP pun.

BioBen, I like the one with the waterfalls better, its more detail. it just needs to sort of bubble up at the tops.

Re: DRL City! Turn ends next Wednesday!
I would like to join this, but I am a little confused as to how I join...
I want to join District 9 on one of the frontmost-left tiles... And I will attempt a pixely building later, sometime while doing the roll for my topic. (Self-advertising FTW!)

Sorry guys, my router broke, but I managed to get internet back. wiffles wrote: I partly finished, but my eyes hurt and I don't know how to make signs for the roof. Critique please it's alright. 1.5 Duh102 wrote: Which is better, with or without peoples? Not sure. 3 Petethegoat wrote: Better looking and no longer wacky clock tower. Still need to deal with the door and those bastard clocks though. Twwig: nice construction site. 3.5 Time to practice my AA, I think. Edit:Furthermore; Sorry about the quality. But hey! Nice. 4 Ociamarru wrote: I, too, use Paint. Oh, hey, the reason I ventured onto this thread was because I had a question to ask. Alright, so I'm doing a factory building, and I have a side building made of brick, and then the factory-part itself. I don't want THAT to be brick, too; I want it to be more...grey. But I can't think of a good material to use for this; cinderblock, maybe? Any ideas for what material I could use? EDIT: On the brick building, where on the roof would you put some pipes? I want to make the roof less bare, and aside from adding some cracks coming from under the roof A/C unit, I figured I'd add a bit of piping. So where'd you put that if you were me? EDIT2: Aight, now that I have the smokestacks in there, I can't pin it, but something seems wrong with the color. Does it need to be brighter? Darker? Do I need to shade it? What's the deal, do ya think? Could use some work, not too shabby though. 2.5

Re: DRL City! Turn ends next Wednesday!
If everyone would post their tiles, it would make it so much easier for me. non-players: don't post.
players: post once, only with your tiles.
I"ll try to get the map updated, etc, etc.

Just a thought. Couldn't be more true. :/ ok, guys, pm me your tiles. yoman: just give me the district and x,y coordinate. I'll give you a left-ish one.

Re: DRL City! Turn ends next Wednesday!
Also, be sure to include your tile for me. It'll make the whole process a lot faster. e.g.:
(image) tile 4,4 District 9
I'll try to fill out the blanks on people who aren't online now to send the pms.
Also, people who break the rules will simply be kicked from the game and never allowed to play again. To kick off this list: hax (repeated attempts to send in non-pixel art or stolen tiles.)
