I've checked the devlog archives (the only way I have for really keeping track of this memory) because I was thinking maybe i exagerated, maybe it couldn't be 3 years.

But yes indeed, i started tracking the game around Build 20, so around early 2008. So yeah, already 3 years. I played the game a bit at that time thanks to a cousin who was crazy enough to pre-order, he sent me the installer. Then i forgot a few times that this game was still in development, and got my own copy with the HumbleBundle. At that point I joked alone about the fact that the DataRealms crew could now retire in the Bahamas thanks for the HumbleBundle success.

Yet they are still here! And the game is still so not finished at all! I think DataRealms have invented a device that is capable of bending the rules of the VALVE TIME & Space!


On a more serious note, i've restarted today looking at available mods in the mod section of the forum, and it's way less clear than maybe a year before how installation is supposed to be done. What i mean is that there is not even a decent topic (pinned) to give actualised directions and confirmations as to how mods must be installed. Yes it's pretty straightforward when you know, very easy, just copy to the main folder. But for newcomers, there's no clear info about that. And no mod zips contain any sort of info, no readmes or anything. Which is pretty surprising for a nicely organised mod community.

So to summarize, i think the mod section deserves a bit of a tidy-up. You could also make a topic that regroups all mods compatible with the latest build.

I'll post this also in the suggestions.

Also, assessing mod compatibility is up to the mod maker, we've provided little icons to the left of the topic for mod makers to indicate the latest build their mod works with.

You imply that Valve Time came first and DRL Time is derived from it.

I disagree.

DRL Time came first, but never came into effect until we acknowledged that it may have existed. Just like the Builds - Data only releases one after we actually know it exists.


Or Data is just trolling across the US on a unicycle, only releasing a Build when someone doubts his mahscles.

He must have terrible reception, we were doubting him far before B24 came out.

I'm Izen. I stumbled upon this game completely by accident, tried the demo, and within 2 weeks bought the full game. Uh, That was a while ago though, maybe a month? I've been lurking around the forums for a bit and decided to make an account and join the community, because why not.
