Many would recommend Zone Reclamation Project, but Complete has its merits, like the huge expansion of music and graphic buffs. I really love STALKER so I had to make a post about it

Re: The Lounge
I wonder how heavy his bow is. 40-45 pounds seems to be the minimum legal limit for hunting in most states according to a quick google search, which doesn't seem too impractical to be rapid-firing and is enough to take down a deer.

Something seems fishy about that video.
I can't put my finger on it, but..

Re: The Lounge
Well, the arrow catching and arrow splitting is probably rehearsed a lot and not something he could do on the run anywhere with anyone and any kind of equipment, but that doesn't really (at least in my opinion) change the fact that he catched an arrow in mid-air.
Aside from skepticism and all that jazz, and ignoring a bit the bashing to modern day archery from the video, because I doubt all those techniques were really forgotten and he is the saviour of archery, or the only man who can do those things, it's quite amusing to watch and see all those things that seem incredible for the common folk.

Here's an older video of more or less the same thing, and an artificial narrator.

Re: The Lounge
Someone said that he thinks the Lars Anderson guy is autistic, and if you look carefully at the guy's movements it does look some people's who have autism, at least from what I've seen. Wonder if the guy's a savant or something.
Edit: there're also a bunch of articles that claim the guy is a hoax, so there's that too.

I also thank my incredible skill for pointing out bull♥♥♥♥, because this narrator has "presentism" all over his hands. “in the beginning, archers probably drew arrows from quivers or belts, but since then, they started holding arrows in the bow hand, and later in the draw hand.” I haven't properly fired a bow in my life, but I knew something was up with this as soon as I saw it.
Fastest archer in the world? Probably. Most accurate? Impossible, unless Lars himself wants to hold a live stream and prove it himself.

I left that out because Asklar already said

Re: The Lounge
Any time someone claims "Yeah the old ways were better, modern X has changed for the worse because they forgot things", it's probably bull. Once humanity makes a choice for something, it's probably because the benefits outweigh the costs. Also we tend not to forget useful techniques for things, unless they're just entirely pointless for modern life (ex: making papyrus)
