Re: The Lounge
I know this is a really weird subject on DRLFF. But I was playing Cortex Command and trolling through some historical mods, and I wanted to check out The Soupiest's old mod, as it was one of my favorites. Does anyone still have it by chance? -nevermind found it-

Re: The Lounge
Does your space nazi mini mod work in this version? That + MapPack3 = B23/B24 nostalgia.

Re: The Lounge
I'd imagine not, it relied on sounds which have had their source moved, it could be updated for 1.0 easily but TBH, I don't think it's as good as you remember it being, least of all because my spriting skills have improved so much since then. It feels so weird to actually discuss Cortex Command on this site.

I remember B23.
It was the last time Cortex Command was good.

It was the last time Cortex Command was good. I kind of agree, I feel that after B23 the game was like different. B23 is the one that I remember with most nostalgia. 111herbert111 wrote: I'd imagine not, it relied on sounds which have had their source moved, it could be updated for 1.0 easily but TBH, I don't think it's as good as you remember it being, least of all because my spriting skills have improved so much since then. Re: The Lounge
Alright, I got Shadow of Chernobyl, playing with the 2009 "Complete" mod installed.
My first impressions of the game after a couple hours is that the gameplay feels somewhat clunky (I see what you meant by having to empty an entire magazine to kill a bandit), but is generally fun to play. The game definitely shows its age, especially the UI, but I'm sure I'll get used to the aesthetics after I get used to them. The missions/quests feel pretty simplistic at this point, requiring only that you go to X place and do Y, but hopeful that the story will pick up in the near future.
Having fun with S.T.A.L.K.E.R so far. I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes, cause I'm pretty confused right now.
