Such a horribly misguided post. We're not saying he's "not allowed". We're saying he was being flatulent and childish for barking without biting so to speak. And when did this have to be about him personally respecting me? He's just a disrespectful person in general, which has nothing to do with how I was being disrespectful; deal.

You are insulting him over an opinion, for no real reason.
He did not insult you, he doesn't like Frozen; there is no implication that you are, by transitivity, stupid as well, for liking Frozen.

You are the one barking at him, and biting, by insulting him.


This is passive aggressive, intoning that someone is passive aggressive when they aren't, but you are just sayin' (“Your refusal to acknowledge that you are guilty of {sin,racism,sexism, homophobia,oppression…} confirms that you are guilty of {sin,racism,sexism, homophobia,oppression…}.”).

I don't see miggles telling everyone off for doing things he doesn't like. I don't see him strictly saying Frozen is stupid to inflame you, but all I can see is that you both called him stupid for using the word, stupid, not liking Frozen, and not wanting to talk about Frozen.


It isn't fair to throw him under the buss for saying something so banal.
What isn't fair is that you aren't considering what he is saying because he writes a lot about the issue specifically.

What's uninflammatory about saying Frozen is stupid and people shouldn't watch it without any sort of reasoning whatsoever? It's not insulting him for his opinion, but for his tone (very different things by the way). The metaphor of barking and biting refers to saying something but having nothing to show for it, so that really didn't turn the phrase.

And I never said I was without sin. I just said it's not about my sin. It's horribly irresponsible to deny such facts of life. And yes, Miggles did tell people off by saying they shouldn't be watching it.

You're grasping at straws to justify your inflammatory and weakly opinionated pontifications. And that's what this whole conversation was about: weak opinions.

I've been playing a lot of MMO lately. Great fun, and I'm finding a bunch of friends.

Responding to his tone doesn't mean my argument is weak. A lack of the top tiers makes it weaker in relation to the chart. Thunderfoot and InternetAristocrat for example do everything on that pyramid, even respond to tone. His tone matters to Rajani and I because it's just insulting and disrespectful while offering no sort of insight as to why he holds such views on things. It's "necessary" because we think it's rude of him. And he was "tone policed" for being pompous and rude. Since it's "THE INTERNET", I really don't see the problem with commenting on the rudeness of another person. Tone policing is such a bad concept in the first place. People should expect to be criticized when they choose to use an offensive vocabulary.

Rajani was legitimately discussing Frozen without offending anyone, when Miggles decided to chime in with the most successful flame-bait here in a while. He even got one user here to talk in all caps. It was very rude of him. I understand that I was being rude to him as well; I don't like Miggles so I don't want to waste kind words on him. And the dunce hat was funny to me.

So I'm allowed because I simply don't post that often on the boards? And when I do, I use swears?
And Mack's allowed to literally post a macro of shitting on a computer?
But somehow being snide, and condescending isn't?

Anyways, Rajani, you are a shrinking violet jackhole, expecting niceness when you lecture/insult others over small faults. Sothe, you continue to be a messianic quack in terms of ideology/behavior.
I tolerate you, much like any other, but do not mistake it for respect. And no less, it wasn't even a bait, if it were, he'd be reported, and warned. Consider that.

Apologies to Miggles for ragging on a relatively small issue with the whole rudeness thing. But this has been blown out of proportion to the point where you, Foa, are taking extremes out of the simple concept of decency and kindness. I'm not some kind of authoritarian for criticizing his tone, or asking him to be nice. "THIS IS THE INTERNET". Nobody is forced into anything but the guidelines of the websites they visit. And yes, I also have to work on kindness so I can hold myself up to my own ideals. But man, I just am tired of the whole bitter and resentful spiel.
