Re: The Lounge
I spent my day and night playing DnD 2.0. I learned you can solve all quests with violence. As a necromancer, I trained my two unarmed skeletons to become master linebackers.

Re: The Lounge
If you had a character sheet that could beat a bunch of level 1's. It's more than likely yeah.

Re: The Lounge
DnD works very differently with each version. I prefer 3.5, and feel like it works the best. It's what most CRPGs are based off of. I'm more into storytelling pen&paper games like VTM though.

Re: The Lounge
IMO pathfinder is the best iteration of dnd, but that's not such a great accomplishment. As Miggles said, it's not a prefect system. But otoh there is something kind of compelling about it's broken ness. As (former) CC fans we should all be able to relate to that.

impatfindersoonwithfriendpeoples.
It involves two ladies, a drunk, and a monk. It is a Bar Joke, and Sentai as hell.

Re: The Lounge
dark heresy is a pretty good system and the WH40k theme can easily be ditched for another setting, our DM used a post-apocalyptic rock music-themed wasteland where the main antagonist was seriously called "the dance commander" and several of the sessions were based on electric six songs. the PC cast was really fun and diverse too. shadowrun is also cool, i intend to DM a shadowrun game sometime in the future but im not very read up on the rules as of yet the song of ice and fire tabletop game is realllllly good for grounded semi-fantasy medievally stuff as well
