Seems that for some people it breaks saves and makes the game unstable, and for others it works fine.

If I were you, I'd back up my saves before I install the Patch in case I need to rollback.

If you cracked it that means you stole it and are playing the full version without playing.
So buying it will do nothing extra except relieve your guilt.

Different from USA or etc, the "rest" of the world don't have a brand new game on hand with good prices. It's too expencive to buy this game where I live, like all the other games, and you want me to fill guilty? People should fill guilty about destroying the only world we have and other things that really matters, not money...

I don't think you get much extra out of buying the game other than helping maxis to make Spore II, which is a good thing.

Basically, expansion after expansion.. It's what Maxis does. Look at The Sims series, for example. There's like 20-30 expansions for both games...
As for buying the game: You don't get online play, no, but you DO get to have people's stuff randomly downloaded and put into your galaxy...
What do you get with a pirated version? Stuff that you specifically download for the sole purpose of seeing it in your game. Bleh.

It's a shame the Sporepedia is such ♥♥♥♥ that it's easier to use an SVN.

I bought the game and don't even connect, I just use facepunch's SVN to update all my ♥♥♥♥. Better quality and about 10k of each type.

It's a shame that people give it about 1-2 minutes before passing it off as "♥♥♥♥".
It lets me track what people do to my creations in their games.
Extinctions, brefriending, adding to pack in Creature, adding to fleet in Space, domestication in Tribe, alliance, war, it's all there.

I'm having a really weird issue with Spore. I am currently in the space age and there is a particular species I am at war with (not the Grox). Every time I either buy, capture, or destroy their last civilization the game freezes and crashes... wtf... seriously. Can anyone help?

I also have an error.... I go to register in-game, and I put in my VALID user/pass. But it says something about it not matching their records or something.... Help?

My only, and I do mean ONLY, major objection so far is that land vehicles don't animate their moving parts. I want my goddamned complicated mech's legs to MOVE.
Also, I do wish that each stage was both longer and more complex. The creature stage feels like the first ten levels of an MMO to me- "Kill 4 x for 30 DNA points." And more diverse habitats would be nice, too- snow, sea life, avian non-gliding creatures, etc.
And why can't I start the game as an omnivore?
