Re: The Lounge
Vitamin D is a VITAMIN WITH A LETTER, so it's probably pretty important. :v Your hot bod makes it under exposure to sunshine, or you can do like i do and eat vitamin pills. The winter months don't provide enough sunshine for the average cave dweller like myself to top up on the D, so yeah. caekdaemon wrote: Duh102 wrote: Heartburn maybe? They were neither hot nor spicy. I'll be fine. As for vitamins, I had a shortage of B12 before when I was fifteen or so. It was very unpleasant. My sleeping routine went off the deep end, think of getting up and falling asleep at completely random times. But the worst part was the numbness. Imagine standing on the floor, no shoes on and not being able to feel the carpet or the cold in winter. It's extremely unpleasant. Throw in headaches at random and you get one hell of a cocktail of unfun.

I want my apparent spirit animal as a pet: the raven. However, native ravens are illegal to own; I can still legally own a european one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6kgvhG3AkISeriously, I don't even know how Ken ham expected to beat Bill Nye. Edit: No offense to anyone who follows ken ham. Edit2: I like that part where Ken was asked to give evidence besides the literal text from the bible for creationism (fossile record) and the host had to repeat the question because he talked into the bible again

Re: The Lounge
I find it amusing how big a thing religion is for america but that's from a finnish point of view. this state, and the population, is secularized as hell

Re: The Lounge
Religion is meant to be taken seriously, since it's supposed to be based on the word of God. Anything in between would be hypocritical. Which, illogically, is what most religious people are.
I take as an example a -literal- couple of friends, who, despite actively being roman catholic, and therefore accepting that underlies that religion are engaged in a sexually active relationship, and have been in the past with other people. These are the hypocrites. The ones that believe what is preached only to a certain extent.
In my opinion, this is even more illogical than the "die-hards" who live and die by the "good book".
But then again what do I know.

Re: The Lounge
I'm not really a big fan of all the religion bashing that goes on in our culture. Whatever arguments you want to make about who did or didn't exist, religion enriches so many people's lives and may in fact make them better people. Of course there are those who are aggressive about it or use it for evil but these people always stand out of every population. It's the same with gamers, or MLP fans. In the eyes of those who only look at cases like Columbine, all gamers are psychopathic murders. Even on this forum (in this very thread), aggressive pony fandom caused many people to form a negative opinion of MLP fans as a whole, when the vast majority quietly enjoy the show without trying to force it down everyone's throat.
