May I say I very much love Cortex Command, so a game of it's awesomeness should have a very respectable, knowledgeable community. And I do think this forum has equally awesome potential, but right now it's only potential.

Now, don't get me wrong, all regulars (At least it seems) are very smart in general, but quite a few seem to be unwilling to share what they know, which is where we get problems in my eyes.

When I was first staring out on this forum I didn't want to post at the risk of being flammed, so I really didn't. I have since then gotten over it and realized, what does it really matter? But is that the kind of thing people should worry about? Especially newbies...

While not directed at me, it's clearly meant as a harsh rebuke (and, yes, I realize that Thor is about as likely to take offense as, say, a brick wall), and contributes nothing to the discussion the topic is for. You take any opportunity to jab a personal remark into a conversation.



You are CLEARLY attached to a system that "hates" trolls while "recognizing" their necessity. That's an archaic model. You don't NEED trolls in a forum any more than you need anything else.

Ah, I guess I'm a bit late.

But hey, now I feel all warm and tingly inside, because I helped to bring about change. Yay. My Alt, Lex talionis, was my attempt at trying to get away from the "Needed" troll thing. But meh, I got IP range banned from the forums, and nearly k-lined from irc. It just so happens certain people have morals, so I'm still here.

So ya, I would love to see the forums return to what they were when I was new. Oh, that was a nice time.

For the record, I'm going to try to be more helpful. If I can do it, everyone else should be more than capable.
