Re: The DataRealms Gmod Project
I want dropship too.
And I'm in.
BTW, I just made an awesome combine versus antlion map in hammer.
Combines get delivered via dropship
and Antlions..... rise from the.... ground.
Next project, Grasslands.
An overhead view of the map would be nice, for reference.

Re: The DataRealms Gmod Project
I suggest we should use "cloneworks community" server. It has all the needed mods and It is a good server. Also the name fits in. Also I am a moderator there...

Re: The DataRealms Gmod Project
Why don't we just use Daman like the tool he is for a server?
I also refuse to be under your power in any situation, so you can forget it.

I also refuse to be under your power in any situation, so you can forget it. Yes and let's all talk like this kekkekeke. Also, there's no ♥♥♥♥ way we'd be able to make a GOOD working dropship in-game. It'd be better if we all tried to make them using hammer, saving them as .vmfs, and loading them using vmf loader. Just remember, no brushes. I think. I dunno lol. Also, hammer lets you add more custom things. Like possibly making the engines move like they do in CC. And a working drop-part that works by pressing a button inside the dropship or something. Either way this thing's going to have to look more like a mothership to be functional.

Re: The DataRealms Gmod Project
Hey I could help, I'm a long time gmod player ,since v3, I've made some nifty things on Facepunch. I myself yesterday considered in making the Cortex Command Dropship, with destructable engines, and using no hoverballs, only balloons(Maybe) and thrusters. Re: The DataRealms Gmod Project
Needs to have hoverballs and thrusters. The DS has some measure of sustained hovering, which thrusters cant do.

Re: The DataRealms Gmod Project
Hoverballs are for noobs... I say we make it wired, so that we can first load it with stuff then when we press a certain button, it goes to auto "hover around" mode, and another button, it goes to "land, open hatch, close hatch, rise up" mode... and yes, lets make it have the same working mechanism as cc dropship, with two motors... It is easy to make it stable with gyroscope, thrusters and expression chip with heavy use of delta... In fact... I think I make it tomorrow on my own I think I have a working idea in my mind right now... Just some adjusting with thrusters needed to done.... Also, about cloneworks community server... Although I moderate there, dont worry... I can only slap you, kick you, and well... ban you. And lots of other stuff im too bored to list....

Re: The DataRealms Gmod Project
Good news on my Dropship, I've figured out the flying system, using 2 thrusters and 2 balloons, no Force Upright or Hoverballs, and it stays up without any problems. I'll get images once I get home from school, but there might be a problem getting the huge bulky dropship chassis to work with some thrusters. ProjektTHOR wrote: Needs to have hoverballs and thrusters. The DS has some measure of sustained hovering, which thrusters cant do. Not true, some thrusters, and balloons welded to the props, along with them being linned up perfectly, makes it hover. THIS IS JUST A BETA NOT THE REAL THING!
