Oh please, I'm not that dumb...xD I donno...:/ Hey, I have to reset mine on a daily basis. I thought of another thing, have you changed your network's name from NETGEAR? If there's more than one of those in your neighborhood, perhaps it's confusing the Wii's network browser. It's the only one in the neighborhood, plus I have a password on it and if there were more my computer would pick it up.

WEP-password?
I have WEP-passed connection, and my Wii didn't pick it up before I added Wii's Mac Address to approved Macs...

I mean within the Wii, there are only three.
I couldn't connect unless I had max bars.

I was browsing my other forums and stumbled upon this thread:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=479847
Two posts of note:
Quote: There are known problems with the Wii connecting to routers that are set to G only mode. No idea why that happens as the Wii does use G standard to connect but it just doesn't like routers set in G only mode. Quote: SUCCESS!!!!
I changed the router wireless channel from 6 to 11 and voila! No issues and fast speed!
So what is the exact model of your router?

My dad likes high security, and he put some high level security blocks. Now the network wont even get detected unless you have 2 password and the router allowed you to be connected. Think of it as some body guard robot that wont let anyone in a corp, and for those to hack into the corp will just see two opague forcefields that only the authorized personell can access.

Thanks for your help, but it was nice that it was deleted, as I had fixed it, please don't necro old threads, if I still needed help I would have bumped it.

Re: Wii Help
that happens on my DS sometines when i try to do Wi-Fi. it will say you connected to an acess point but were unable to connect.
i think the same thing is wrong with your Wii. the wireless router needs an IP address from a host computer. but the computer has to have a connection to the internet or the router wont work. but if your vomputer works fine and you Wii reads it and doesnt conect, try to reconfigure the router or the Wii.

Re: Wii Help
You may need to enter the WEP key, and if you have another set of security make it so the router allows it not just by password by by passage of MAC.
