No you should have seen the sprite dump before they cracked down with that rule. It was a dump, one where sprites were hard to find amidst all the blah blah blah (Oh man that makes me want to listen to Ke$ha now).

IMO, I think the mods should be less afraid with bans.

We don't need a rule telling you to read the OP because it's common sense.
If you don't bother reading the FIRST POST of a topic before you post in it... you sort of a deserve a ban to be honest.

Sorry about being a bit of a ♥♥♥hole and the rule giving out so long bans. But as Contrary pointed out in the above it was hard to actually find sprites in there. I spent 20 minutes removing "junk" posts (Which constituted about 14 pages of the topic) some time ago and I can't really be bothered to do it again.

On the plus side it's only three days till Allstone and Starcraftguy are unbanned

I found this to be hilarious to no end. I should probably get some sleep.


Anyways, yeah, with this sort of thing, rules need to be consistently enforced, but punishments should stay within reason.
Two weeks is more fitting to posting obscene material, in my opinion, than it is to making a minor mistake in following an official thread's proper procedure.

You don't need to put horrible consequences behind the enforcement, so long as you give a fittingly significant punishment, and you make it clear to all, the mistake that has been made. This way, people can best learn from others' mistakes. Make a little example out of everyone, instead of a extreme example of few. I'd say 5 days would be much more reasonable for that infraction.

I agree about the ban, but the amount of time is kind of ridiculous. It's like getting a month in jail for going 10 miles over the speed limit...
