All that aside, the movie was pretty brutal. Especially the Comedian guy.
I don't know why everyone was so sad that he died.

And how the daughter forgave her mother in 2 seconds for being a ladylike.

Rorschach was awesome regardless.

I notice HMV is now selling The Watchmen because the film is coming out.

I never read the comics.

I saw the movie.

My favorite characters at the beginning of the movie, and at the end of the movie, switched. IE the ones i hated at first i liked by the end, and vice versa.

By the end of the movie, I my favorites where Rorschach, Dr Manhattan, and the comedian.


I hated the ending. My favorite characters died, or abandoned the earth. The only thing I liked about Rorschach's death was A) it was for a good reason for once, and B) Rorschach made a Rorschach.

I loved the movie itself, but I hated most of the setting, like nixon wining 5 times in a row, and most of the characters being far right conservatives, or just asses.


I love all the prison scenes, but the ending to ALL of it, was very... anti-climactic.





In short, it was a well made, enjoyable to watch, let-down. It was an epic movie, about an epic failure, that in and of itself, was NOT a failure. I intend to get the DVD when its out. Also am I the only one to notice that whenever they show Dr Manhattan's blue penis, it was NEVER the same size in ANY of the scenes? Did he just like changing the size going "its bigger... its smaller... its bigger.... its smaller... and its always blue...."?

I think the Manhattan nudity was for the most part tasteful, and I'm not sure why everybody makes such a big deal about it...I mean, people would think it odd if he had NO genitals, and apparently the comic also had nudity...

it was good and im glad they changed the ending. if they didnt we would know what was going to happen in the end and wouldnt really care as much about the plot.

The ending of the book was a cliffhanger anyways.

i love how sadistic the comedian was as well, shooting the prego "Gook" etc.

just wish some of the awesome scenes were on display longer, like the prison fighting or when dr.M is killing Vietcong.

Hardly.

Movie was good, novel was better.

And some of the songs were placed badly.

I'm pretty sure someone already said it, but Hallelujah during the sex scene almost made me laugh out loud.
