Gmod to me seems to be dieing out sure theirs lots of players on at all times but nothing cool ever seems to happen. Rp servers suck ass and half the time there laggy. sandbox is plagued by minges and lack of creativity. Even sledbuild fails now because the only thing people use is triangles and circles. They should be disabled.

Gmod needs more minigame gamemodes and less crap like RP and sandbox. Also garrysmod.org doesn't work for half of the stuff there it just 404's on them.

Gmod.. Oh gmod. I loved playing it somewhile ago. It's not a bad game still but.. There is too many mods around there and I HATE why the game can't download maps from server like TF2 or other multiplayer games do. I'm joining to the DRL group now. If any body want's to know my steam name is tyyppi (finnish, means dude).

I really love G-Mod.

It's just.. When you don't find a good server with a good community, or don't know what to build/do, it just dies.

Specially because finding good servers today, has somewhat become harder.

Uh, gmod can definitely download the maps from the server. What the hell are you talking about.

It's all dependent on server settings.

Guys they still sell CSS in stores right? Cause I'm probably gonna get it soon too.

@daman I'm sure that's what he meant.

By default, the cap is at 16MB of data.
Any really good build map will be well above that, hence why he's complaining that none of them download.
Servers rarely set their download chunk size limits above default due to bandwidth issues.

I've played this at other people's houses, but haven't found it that fun. Also don't see it as worth the payment. Steam not working on my ghetto computer isn't helping, either.
