Re: Looking for a few decent PSP games
Power Stone Collection is great fun and includes PS 1 and 2, two of my all time favorite games that sadly died with the Dreamcast. Load times are a bit long though.
I just got Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops today, and so far, it seems like classic MGS without the story, customizable squads and with multiplayer.
Dissidia isn't that bad if you're a fan of FF.
God of War: Chains of Olympus is as good as the PS2 versions.
I personally wouldn't legally acquire it, but Syphon Filter: Combat Ops is a decent tactical (lol not really) multiplayer-only shooter.
Final Fantasy Tactics is great.
As for racing, M.A.C.H is pretty cool (you race around in ♥♥♥♥ jets). Powerups, deathmatch, multiplayer, the works. I also recommend Burnout Legends.
I haven't tried either Worms game, but it's Worms.
...aaand that's all I can remember at the moment. End unnecessarily long post.

Yeah. Star Ocean: FD is pretty good so far...
Killzone Liberation is fun. It's actually more suited to be this way rather than be a generic FPS.

I was justing say that to Mombasa yesterday.
"Hey Killzone isn't a run-of-the-mill FPS here!" while he played it.

Re: Looking for a few decent PSP games
I haven't played the original Killzone but it looks to be like a whole truckload of pure, uncut blo- fun. I might as well just upload the file which has my list of Things to Own and Things Bought. A few updates have been made since I first rattled off my collection. http://www.mediafire.com/?yz2id2dlmyd- The-Masses

Re: Looking for a few decent PSP games
Other games include Worms Whatever it is, good if you have 1 psp and lots of bored friends.
Racing games, burnout legends is fun, metal slug is cheaply put together and often infuriating (multiplayer sucks! one player is always lagging behind, it just doesn't translate onto 2 screens well), powerstone is also cheaply made (and takes so long to load I thought it had crashed).
Out of the GTAs, Vice city lets you swim but Liberty city is a prettier city (Vice city is based off LA, and it shows), so choose whatever there, it's the same game.
Watch the racing games. the realistic ones stink a lot of the time. It's that mentality of 'if you can't finish the first race it's realistic'. Driving cars isn't quite that hard guys.
I found Metal Gear tedious, I haven't played it before but after spending 20 minutes hiding under a van after trying to play a little faster and then finally getting out only to spend the next hour trying to work out how to get to my objective, i got annoyed with it. that is not a user-friendly game.

Re: Looking for a few decent PSP games
I head that Ratchet and Clank Size Matters is a good game.
Lol this reminds me of something. Who remembers the FPS that came out for the PSP (Name escapes me at the moment) which used the D-pad to move and the control stick to look? Aren't those on the same side of the system? I only have one thumb lol!

Roy-G-Biv wrote: And I could list Higurashi Daybreak, but I don't think you'd be interested. It's fun, but you just don't seem to be the type who plays doujin games ported to consoles. It's on PSP? Oh god, get it ASAP then. PC version was ridiculously fun, even if (to a Higurashi fan) it's totally insane.

Quote: I just got Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops today, and so far, it seems like classic MGS without the story, customizable squads and with multiplayer. Portable ops has a story. Its actually a fairly important story to the series. You gotta read the codec messages and watch the cutscenes. It tells of how Big Boss started Fox Hound and it explains the origin of one of the coolest characters in the MG Series. Null A.K.A. Frank Jeager A.K.A. Gray Fox. Portable ops is a good one. If you like Metal Gear then you'll like this one. Portable Ops + is a good one if you like multiplayer. Has a lot of cool characters in it too, like KGB, GRU, and Ocelot Unit. If you were good at Metal Gear you wouldn't have to hide under a van for 20 minutes. I agree though. The controls take getting used to and the majority of the missions are "get from A to B" missions... However, I am a hardcore Metal Gear fan so I still love it!

Megaman Powered Up.
It has a level editor, and it definately doesn't feel like a remake after you start playing with the level editor. Or even after you start playing new style with some other character.
