It's true; large bones often have blood vessels runnnig through them: bone marrow creates red blood cells along with the liver. The vessels also carry calcium to the bones to help them grow and remain strong.

The symptoms include it being a comic, a useless argument, and an inconsequential fact. Seems to explain the current case.
