Nvidia 8600GT.
That's what I have and it gets the job done. I can play Crysis on it on high.
I bought it retail from Fry's elctronics for $120.

Re: Graphics Card too low for Game
Meh, I see the 6 series as useless to gamers. If you're going to have a card that high, might as well step up to the power card. I have a Leadtek 8800GT, it can handle anything you throw at it on high.

Re: Graphics Card too low for Game
Except 8800 is pretty much the cheapest thing on the market that can handle everything you throw at it. It's a graphics card, it's going to cost a lot of ♥♥♥♥ money if you want anything that isn't ♥♥♥♥.

Re: Graphics Card too low for Game
I'm gonna tell you to find a computer shop in the area and have them do it for you, because even if I gave you an 8800 there's no gauruntee it'd fit your machine or that you could put it in. Let a professional handle it.

Re: Graphics Card too low for Game
Do you have the capability to assimilate information? Jesus we've already told you that the 128 mb requirement doesn't really matter and that we're giving you suggestions that will let you play games other than spore, which has low requirements. Take it to a computer shop.

Uh.... but Spore isn't even out yet, how would you know what the requirements are? If you mean Creature Creator, then go here. http://systemrequirementlab.com/

Creature Creator has the same specs as Spore. Also srlab is terrible and you're better off asking on here if you can run something.
