Re: A Galaxy at War the Wargame [looking for players]
That would be quite kind of you, course if that can't be done I can always wait till something dies...
EDIT: Things to keep in mind when building ships: 1. Work and talk amongst your sub-commanders for ideas 2. GSC ships are chunky, slow, with heavy armor and weaker shields, focusing on overwhelming frontal firepower. 3. GLA ships are sleek, smooth, and organic; with the shapes and turrets placed so that they can focus weapons to most any quadrant of the ship. Weaker armor and more focus on sheilds 4. Warpstorm ships are....know what; just talk to Warper 5. Terakuran: All ship hulls are manufactured by the Mal'hut manufacturing grand house with assistance from the other three great houses. Since the manufacturing houses are sectionalized, there is considerable specialization, this yields some of the best warships (and consumer ships) ever to exist, and human fleets quickly discovered the folly of engaging Terakuran ships during the “Xenophobia Wars.” The Alm’er’athol house manufactures the weapons, the Bal'has'l house supplies shielding technology and advanced armors, and the Per’shas house supplies general electronics, appliances, and comm. equipment. Many of the other lesser Terakuran houses and corporations also provide materials and technology such as Bo’m’el medical equipment and the Gru’ten house provides the essential AIs. Since Terakurans are low in population, most small and medium weight class ships are fully automated, with only the largest ships actually staffing any Terakuran crew. While complete automation is seemingly impossible for races like humans, Terakuran advanced robotics and organic “neuro-AIs” make it a possibility. Terakuran ships are designed to be exceptionally well made, and since Terakurans have a quality over quantity mindset, their ships can easily outperform a human GSC tenfold. Terakuran ships typically have exceptionally thick armor made from Neutranium or other strong metals and layered with kinetic gel, fibrous metals and semi-organic substances to absorb impacts. The plates themselves are braced extensively to prevent displacement. Shielding is also extensively overlapped so that no section of armor is vulnerable if one section’s shielding falls. Weaponry consists of long-range, high power laser weaponry and beam cannons, Terakurans also have an affixation with plasma and have a number of lethal plasma weapons (no.1 of which; the Plasma Sheller). Since the need for crew is removed on most ships, they are considerably smaller than their brethren from other navies, making them deceptively fast and weak looking…until you loose a battle cruiser to something half the size of your frigates. Terakuran heavy and super heavy classes are quite the opposite, wedge-shaped (a good 7/10 classes are) monsters, massive in the extreme with unbreakable armor, low speeds and packing numerous heavy guns; most of which can destroy enemy ships in one shot, these Terakuran ships are designed to wade into a battle and crush the enemy in an unstoppable onslaught while lighter warships have the enemy gunnery tied up. Terakuran light and medium classes have extensive broadside weapons, as they are designed to weave through the enemy fleet and strike them in vulnerable areas, again in contrast; the heavier classes which are frontal assault dedicated, created to destroy the enemy fleet before they can get close. The numerous heavy weapon emplacements on Terakuran ships allow then to deliver a withering first salvo, crippling the enemy while they are still warming up. Terakuran ships are all built for maximum efficiency, and not aesthetics, they are angular, linear and lethal.

Its highly stupid to have limits on the number of forum games. Since, Very often, The *Cough*crap*Cough*Cough* ones die a very short while into their lives. This is the best Forum Game for a long time, And forum games are a good way of spending time waiting for the next Build.

Re: A Galaxy at War the Wargame [looking for players]
Ah yes, forgot to mention that; everyone gets to look and get the stats of the capital ship (for each commander is so), however; you can keep ships that you create during the game (anything not your capital) secret as long as you want, however; enemy spying and engagements in battles where there are survivors will uncover a new ship type....so yes.
Also; Terakurans would call a human a "Brea Sha," meaning "little/weak one"

Re: A Galaxy at War the Wargame [looking for players]
haha! Here she comes! THE MIGHTY FIST OF TERAKURA! Stats: Name: The Fist of Terakura Class: Tera'es'dom Mass: N/A Armor: Prototype Hyper Reinforced Crystalline Neutranium Alloy w/ kinetics gel and fiber-titanium layering and 290 Bal’has’l house Citadel-class superheavy energy projectors giving double overlapping on all areas. Crew: 500 Standard Crewmen, 20 Fighter Pilots, 100 Robotic Squads (7 Centurions w/ 1 Sledge Trooper), All crewmen are given adequate gear to act a marines. Sensors: Classified Length: 6 km Depth: 1.3 km Width: 1.5 km Propulsion: 1 XX-00-01 Dark Matter Projector Unit and 20 matter ionization drives Powerplant: 3 Shia'el'kas Matter Annihilation Reactors w/ deuterium fuel and Tyberium focusing crystals. (Near Infinite Power Supply) Armament: --8 Super Heavy Nova Class Emplacements (4 on each side, there is a Type 7 Barrel in the middle of the battery but the surrounding ones are Type 6. also can fire in a 'burst' mode which fires a class 13 beam but renders the Type 7 Weapon unfireable until the barrel is replaced and other repairs are made), --100 torpedo launch tubes along primary face, (multiple payloads) --Coaxial superlaser consisting of 5 focused class 10 cannons --100 defensive missile pods --200 class 7 Ter'sh'ham quad turbolasers --100 class 6 Nebula Class dual Anti-Ship guns, --250 long-range plasma shellers --6 turreted class 9 cannons Carrying Capacity: 100000 Metric Tonnes (might want t cut this out because it really dosen't matter) Special: Increses cohesion of Terakuran ships and units in the battle to such a extreme level that it is almost incomprehensible due to its mega-advanced, battle-coordination supercomputer. Description: This Vessel is the Private Super-Dreadnought of Lord Tygron Alm’er’athol, this ship uses a Retro Fitted Ter'Jo Class Deadnaught class as its base this ship is hailed as the most Advanced Vessel in the Royal Fleet. It took 2 years to complete even with the most efficient construction yards in the empire due to the sheer size of this beast but also due to its size and the resources needed to maintain it the ship is either in a custom orbiting dry dock or just being dusted off. [removed because warp drives (we have no FTL and rather travel through darkspace through the folds of space-time), on a ship like this don't need charging, only destination clculation (which can still take several minutes or even hours)] -------------------------------------------- Yes ... i know ... the fighters look crappy Edit: OH SHI- ... i forgot to ID the guns topside XP adding now
