Abandon wrench for any available crowbar, rusty or otherwise, that you may find in the foreseeable future.
Upon finding such a crowbar, carry it extremely close to your eyes and when and if you use it, swing it vertically or horizontally, never the proper way a crowbar should be used.
Be prepared to face small alien creatures which attach onto your face. Oh, and make sure you get that beer from Barney. Damn associates never pay you back when you save the freaking world.

After doing all this, attempt to find a way to open the door. In every video game, if there's a locked door, there's always another way out. Shouldn't that drill be done by now? Go and check. Equip your +5 Wrench of Anti-Engineering though. You never know when you're going to encounter that communist threat.

On a sidenote, has anyone considered the fact that the character IS the communist threat?
The Facts:
- Communist Threat is on Mine Level C. So is the main character.
- Amnesia. Though common in most adventures, our character has no idea why he is where he is.
- No Cinosian Outfits/Identification. The character is dressed in semi-normal clothing. Shouldn't he some sort of ID that shows he works for the Cinosian company in the story, if he is such a person? Also, if he is a security guard, as him waking up to a computer screen which warns a security associate that there's a communist threat somewhere, why doesn't he have his security guard armor/cyber-helmets? Ok, maybe the communist threat took his stuff. But why leave him with a wrench in some sort of physical object storing... thing?

CONSIDER THE POSSIBILITIES.
