Re: The Lounge
Oh, I'm sorry.
This alternate reality, which is also known as a rebuild, went to ♥♥♥♥ in the third movie.

Remake wrote: v. make (something) again or differently n. a movie or piece of music that has been filmed or recorded again and rereleased Rebuild wrote: v. build (something) again after it has been damaged or destroyed n. an instance or rebuilding something, esp. a vehicle or other machine From what I can gather, it is a remake, but the plot [or current strong theory thereof] involves there being a strong reference to that fact... so it's both, honestly.

Anyways I tried JoJo's today. I feel like it was made by people who really know a lot about JoJo's, but not a lot about fighting games. There is lots of cool stuff like tonnes of matchup specific dialogue and even like plot related gameplay- like Jotoro can get out of Dios' ROAD ROLLA(fixed that for you) thingy with some sort of time stop and then they say stuff to each other. But at the same time the gameplay side feels kinda not really though out. Like there are lots of characters with installs but the transformation animation is super long and you can just hit them out of it so even though the install forms look like they have a lot of work put into them with all new animations and attacks and stuff it seems pretty unlikely you'd ever get to use them in an actual match. Pucci's is about the easiest one to get off. I've seen some awesome scumbag Pucci gameplay where he would mash out a knockdown, whisper to the baby, rinse repeat. I still haven't managed to Gold Experience Requiem any of my friends, but one day... My favorite characters are Mista and Joseph, you?

Re: The Lounge
The first movie is an acceptable substitute for the first few episodes. The second movie is not. The third is completely unrelated to the original anime.

Re: The Lounge
They were on to something good in the first two, with the more confident shinji, but now they just went full retard/kawai desu/TTGL.

Re: The Lounge
Shinji acts differently because he is the manifestation of the authors negative traits. His negative traits have changed since 19 years ago, so a different Shinji should be expected. OH also they added in kawaii ♥♥♥♥ and fanservice to spite his fans. Really, go look it up. Tits and glasses

Re: The Lounge
Yeah, no ♥♥♥♥. However an established franchise really shouldn't need even more tits, glasses and stupid pink lips. I for one enjoyed it for the psychological traits and evas.

Re: The Lounge
But they put in the tits and glasses anyways, because the author really hated what EVA became as a franchise. Or maybe because he loves money, and the production company offered him a lot to put in more tits. He's kind of a sincere person, so I like to think it's both, but mostly the former.

I don't have too much experience with the game yet so I think my opinions may end up changing but my favourite character is arc 1 Dio just because I like him storywise. I've never mained a rekka character before so that's novel and I like how he can super jump cancel (MONKEY) pretty much everything. He feels somewhat incomplete to me though, lacking any real good moves to use from air or any kind of good anti air. I'm not exactly sure what his real gameplan is either as from what I can tell its just do block strings and toss in one of those random ice freeze moves. Zepelli interest me as he seems to have a really full tool box and also that guy in the bottom right who does all the counters looks really sexy, though I'm not sure I like his style of play that much.

Marie is hands down the best character, since she's the only one who realizes "I am piloting a ♥♥♥♥ giant robot. This is ♥♥♥♥ awesome."

Zepelli, Jonathan, and Joseph all have a projectile, a dp, and a multi-hit special. All the necessary tools of a shoto. And that guy in the bottom right is Diavolo, I don't really get him.
