Re: Art Dump
Your drawings are so strange to me. They are bad but at the same time brilliant.
I think the gun looks weird because it has no black outline.

Re: Art Dump
Everyone has problems with proportion. The way to fix it is to outline before you do anything else, and use common sense. That way, you can fix any problems in proportion, and then go on to coloring, etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_proportionsHere are some more guidelines: Your feet are usually as long as your head is tall. Your feet are as wide as your calf. Your arm width is about equal to your height. Your legs are a little less than two thirds your height. Your hand spread out is as large as your face. (One closed hand can cover half the face.) You can deviate if you want your person to look abnormal. Such as: A clown with long feet.

Re: Art Dump
I did sketch it before adding detail with the exception of the hands and the gun which I added later. I have done studies on proportion before and I did look at references and did measurements, I even went as far as placing another picture next to it to check the lengths of the limbs but it's really hard to see these errors after awhile unless I flip the image or something. Is there anything other than the hands that look bad? Maybe the legs, torso, or arms?

Re: Art Dump
Whenever I draw figures I just copy them from photographs and then apply the exterior, in your case a coalition clone.

Re: Art Dump
I used to do that but I didn't get a good sense of accomplishment when I did because it's taking a shortcut.

Re: Art Dump
Referencing isn't taking a short cut. Hell, well in my opinion at least, even if you copy someones art, you still drew it.

That's awesome. If I had a mega monitor that would be my desktop image. I feel like contributing to this board now. *gets camera*

That looks pretty damn sweet, I would suggest shortening the legs a tad though. I'm going to do it again from scratch and animate.

Re: Art Dump
Ah, thanks Krumbs. Yeah, it's sort of funny, because I actually drew those about a year ago when I had no idea of Cortex Command's existance. Seeing how well the art style of that picture and of the game match up is sort of freaky. But, it's inspired me to make more. This a good idea?
