On a different note, anyone heard about the Sega Spectrum?
For all we know, it might be a console. It's more likely to be a digital distribution platform, though.
I really doubt it's going to be a console. I'd say it's either another distribution platform or arcade hardware.

Re: The Lounge
If it is a console I daresay now would be a good time to announce one, it would be hard to be out done by either the Xbox 1 or the PlayStation Four.

Re: The Lounge
Alright I just beat Gunpoint. The highlight was the gameplay. Very very fun gameplay. Like Mark of the Ninja, but with the ability to phreak security systems and kick doors. The game has pillow shading, and does perspective wrong. The foreground is flat, the furthest background layer is flat, and background layers inbetween are angled both towards the left and right in different instances. The PDA and glove are pillow shaded. The story was very self aware, but cheesy and not committed to the atmosphere. Music was ehh. If you only care about great gameplay, you will love this game. Has good tongue-in-cheek humor too. Short, very short.

Good on you for buying it. I disagree with your opinion about the art and music, but that's all just personal preference... although I guess you could say that about game play as well. Anyway, great game, yeah it was short but well worth its $10.

I actually didn't buy it. And the problems I pointed out with their art are facts. There was pillow shading and improper perspective.

A, your feelings towards the art style are still just your shitty opinions. B, you're a jerk.

Don't be silly Fail Flail there's no point giving money to people who can't afford to make photoreaslistic graphics, they only deserve the money if they've paid in the right amount of money to make their graphics accurate to real life.
I shouldn't be awake. Anyways, I don't recall much pillow shading, or overly self aware narrative. Just simple dialogues of silly people. I liked the part where I was beaten mercilessly for a few minutes by a self triggering door.

So apparently the Steam UI is horrendous because it uses gradients. And is some garish flat grey.
Oh, and Borderlands, TF2,Walking Dead, and Killing Floor are inherently flawed because of their art direction. So is Knytt Underground, Cortex Command [palettes, basic parallax background, obv faux-meta-contraro-retro], Dwarf Fortress [Where do I begin here], VVVVV, the PDP-8 port for Space Wars [Using Home Made Controller Boxes, of course, arcade rip-off, what is this ♥♥♥♥], Starbound, and so on.

Now you're both just being contrary. I don't pirate to spite and punish games for not doing THING I like. If you really think asking for perspective and lighting that isn't completely wrong is the same as asking for photorealistic graphics. (And for the record, aesthetics and technology are two different things, and it's very anti-intellectual of you to treat them as one in the same.)
