Rag, you're a callous ♥♥♥♥. Seriously, like grif said, someone's died. Yea, it's a terrible and a mistake that he was DUI, but goddamn, show some empathy. I don't see you trying to figure out who the passenger was, so far all you've done is exactly what we've done, only instead of saying "OH NO DUNN'S DEAD", you've gone "GUISE IT'S JUST DUNN CALM DOWN". And yea, of course more people are going to be more concerned with Dunn dying, since he's more well known. Zac Hartwell, the passenger, isn't as well known, and I've never seen him before in my life. I still feel sorry for his friends and family, but I have absolutely NO connection with him.

...wow, what the hell.

Thousands of people die by the minute. You don't know the great majority of them. Nobody expects you to mourn each loss. Every death is a tragedy and should be regarded as such. Obviously, people who are famous get more attention from their deaths, and it's especially tragic to lose a celebrity, particularly someone who's done some good in the world. But mourning a guy from the cast of an entertainment show who likely caused his own death over the guy who didn't do anything other than be in the wrong place at the wrong time to me would be extremely selfish, inhumane, and callous, because I didn't know about this Dunn guy at all- to me, he's another drunk driver, and I hate them for a personal reason which probably makes me more than a little biased here. Sure, you knew him and didn't really know the passenger, Zac Hartwell. But they both died from the same thing, and they were both mentioned in most of these articles about Dunn's death. Yet you all persist in the "hurrr y u no care about his death." I didn't know him, at all, because I didn't watch Jackass, and could honestly care less about his death. He's a statistic to me. Not just a statistic, but a statistic who likely caused his own death, and I don't have much sympathy to spare for him when I know friends and family members who are dying and when there are people across the world being slaughtered to death in unimaginably heinous ways. That's why I don't particularly care about him- it's not that I don't care about him at all, but he doesn't warrant "special" attention. Which is exactly why you all don't care about the much less popular passenger's death, or care about it at least less than Dunn's death- you didn't know him. So why exactly are you calling me callous for not caring about Dunn's death when I didn't know him?

You can all get off your high horses with your "ohhh why don't you appreciate the value of his death etc etc" because you're being hypocrites. I'll acknowledge that my first post about this was unnecessarily blunt, unsympathetic, and lacked tact, and it probably would have been better to not post it at all, but I sincerely don't see where you all think you're coming from.

No one expects you to cry but you're just kind of being an aggressive ♥♥♥♥ about it. I mean don't go out of your way to sympathize, but don't go out of your way to be callous either.

Well, didn't mean to do that, I was just irritated because, again, I have a personal reaction to drunk drivers and find it hard to sympathize for what I view as a guy who committed manslaughter. Nobody's perfect and everyone should get to be mourned in peace, and I didn't mean to instigate anything- was just trying to express my opinion on it.

In the time it took to argue over who is more or less callous about the death of a celebrity, all of you ignored the deaths of 41,730 other people.

^ That

But I hope we can all agree that neither of the passengers, being human beings, really deserved to die.

And, unless you mourned each individual one of those 41,730 deaths, so did you! That large of a number brings out the whole "a million deaths is a statistic", because I don't know any of the people that died, nor was I aware, in any real way, of their deaths. One person you can be sad for. 41,370 is just a number.

I love the fact that because it was Ryan Dunn everyone seems to completely ignore the fact he was tanked. I mean yeah its a shame he died, people dying is sad, but he also killed another person. If my best friend got tanked, drove into a tree, and killed himself and a friend of his I feel as if a bit of anger at that extreme act of stupidity would be justified.

Sooo:
1. It's a sad an unfortunate event that Dunn died.
2. He was a freaking retard idiot for driving drunk.
3. He killed another person because he was an idiot.
Celebrity status can't simply overwhelm 2 and 3.

Oh, hey, why don't we do a little research before throwing generalizations out there! He was not "tanked". He'd had 3 beers, and three "girly shots" within a 4 hour period. That's not "tanked". That is, in fact, below the .08 BAC limit, if you're a fairly large guy, like Dunn was. So, legally, he probably wasn't even DUI. Maybe you should look into what you're saying before you start making accusations? Mkay, thanks.

Even being "buzzed" ie well below .08 BAC is more than enough to seriously impair your driving abilities. You don't have to be "tanked" to cause an accident.

I ignored 41731 actually. I didn't know who Ryan Dunn was before you guys posted about him, nor do I really care now that I do.
Making such a fuss over him is a waste of time imo.

To summarize, Ryan Dunn was a jackass.
And thus I don't really care that much either.

To summarize, DRFF is also made of jackasses.
And Ragdoll doesn't realize what constitutes "buzzed".
