I've gotten this virus a couple of times. Except I don't have a webcam, so that surveillance screen it was supposed to show was just a blank black box.
As I recall it was quite easy to get rid of, I don't have much experience with computers so I just went to safe mode and ran this antivirus which zapped it.

You know what's scary? this has probably happened before.

There's a reason we don't pay firefighters per fire extinguished!

This is a reason why buying software is bad.
Buying software, Not even once.

I can see that argument for Antivirus programs but it applies to very little else.
But hey it's not cool to obey the law and programmers don't need money anyway

ITT: a person renowned far and wide for being an enormous internet thread arsonist "SHUTS DOWN" someone for using the word autism in a pejorative context

and then everyone agrees with him

when did the lounge become about moral superiority and deliberately throwing metaphorical flaming bags of feces at each other?

Answer me this: How come the best anti-viruses are free?

I literally just said I agree that there's no point buying anti-virus software so I'm not sure where you're going with this

Just because someone is frequently annoying doesn't mean they can dispense pearls of wisdom and righteousness every once in a while!
If someone does something emphatically wrong (like using a word that describes a large group of inoffensive, innocent people who are perfectly able to function in society and don't particularly need medical treatment) as an insult, they need to be taught otherwise.

There's a little good in everyone!

Just some people are really, really good at hiding it

Being a thread arsonist does not stop me from having morality.
