There's a mock FBI virus going around guys.

Says ♥♥♥♥ like "You've been busted for looking at child porn, pay 300 bucks of bitcoins to resume activity under surveillance.
It controls the webcam to be shown back at the victim for fear. "OH NO THEY WATCHING ME I'M CAUGHT"

genius idea for a virus.

I realize it's my fault for using autism as a semi-insult, but 4chan has imprinted on me at least a little.
I never say/use ♥♥♥♥♥♥ or ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pretty much ever, and I always have the urge to greentext on this forumn, even though I know it doesn't work.

I guess it's really dependent on the person. Some people are much more impressionable than others, and people have a lot of different viewpoints.

Yes, other people can leave an imprint on you, but it is your fault if you continue to act that way in another context.

As you mentioned, you're no longer afraid to use those terms in casual conversation, but you also don't use them as insults. That's not how a lot of "internet culture" works — in most places, if it's okay to say "♥♥♥♥♥♥," it's also okay to call somebody else a ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Evidently you think differently than 4chan does.

Plus, if you're on a forum, you have infinite time to sit and think over your post before you hit submit. If you're aware of the fact that 4chan has had an impact on how you write, you should be equally able to locate the parts where it has and edit them.

Maybe you can "blame" 4chan for changing how you think of things, or which words come to mind, but honestly, once you've typed them out and formed a sentence, whatever you're posting is on you.

Wasn't trying to be inflammatory. This is more or less spot on.

In other news, I beat Deus Ex Human Revolution. I don't think things will ever be the same.

It's still your fault when you say it, stop it.

I'm not even sure it's worth anyone saying they disagree with him, he's gone so incredibly far over the deep end of ridiculous with that post that I'm not sure how anyone could do anything but.

Did you know Mackerel once messaged me on Steam to say "Hey, I'm going to turn over a new leaf and try to stop being a ♥♥♥♥ to people"
As far as I can tell that lasted less than four days

Hah, I actually have a friend who got that. I lol'd pretty hard. Most viruses just screw with you, but I bet the creator might have actually profited from this one.

old habits die hard maaaaaaaaaaaaaan

even if such a habit involves habitually lighting ones own ♥♥♥♥ on fire and then doing the helicopter in order to spawn fire tornadoes

IT WILL BE A HARD HABIT TO DROP

Nevermind how the habit came to be in the first place.

Pretty much all virus creators profit, otherwise they wouldn't make them. I would say all but I bet there are some really shitty virus makers that get caught before they spread their virus very far.

I was under the impression that a not insignificant portion of virus makers basically do it for fun / to screw with people / to test their abilities. Also, it's a little hard to see how you could profit from some of the more common viruses I've heard about.

Well if you're feeling cynical, people pay good money for programs that remove viruses :)

I giggled imagining workers at rival anti-virus companies trying to develop viruses that would get past the competition but be easily stopped by the creators' anti-virus program.

"See, Avast can't stop that FBI virus. But we can. Buy the premium edition of Norton for only $199.99 USD a month."
