   |   Re: What's Behind the Alias?Tomaster. My first name is Tommy, or Thomas, if we're getting formal. Add a "master" onto the end, and bam, instant username. I also use LegendaryPancake on occasion, cause it's ♥♥♥♥ awesome.

   |   Re: What's Behind the Alias?Areku is just a japanese-ified version of my name (which you can probably guess).

It's pretty much the only username I've used in a few years, though I did have a preference for outlandish ones before, my masterpiece being Joseph Von Backpains.

Also, mine really has no meaning at all. I just thought of a word and voilà.

   |   Re: What's Behind the Alias?Duh101 was my original name back on Battle.net, which came from a mashup of "duh", a word that was floating around my friend group at the time, and 101, from a TV show "life 101" or something like that. Then someone took my nick because I was a dumb and I changed to 102.

   |   Re: What's Behind the Alias? The time I picked my name, a ton of cave crickets had decided to invade my garage. I thought the little guys were cool, so I used that as my username and slapped a 48 at the end, 48 being the last 2 numbers of my student ID number. I currently use KarkHopkins as my IRC alias, that name belonging to a character I made up.

   |   Re: What's Behind the Alias?Well, I was starting a new character in Morrowind, and I had already used my first name for a previous game, and I didn't want to mix them up, so for the name I randomly hit some keys, rearranged the result into pronounceability, and ended up using it as an online alias.
I think it's all for the better that it's meaningless, really. Words, acronyms, numbers, nah, I'd rather just have a made up name, just an easily pronounceable reference to myself. I suppose that's also why I chose this avatar, since it's a kind of iconic image without an apparent meaning other than association with myself.

It happens to be the name of some ancient "town of the dogs", though, but that's irrelevant.

Although I have been known to be used to unlock a specific cage that holds various animals in captivity outside of their natural habitat...

   |   Re: What's Behind the Alias?German half track motorbike. Not very original but it beats SonderKraftfahrzeug 2. I chose it mainly because I was into WWII stuff at the time, and I don't have any other online names. DRLFF was my first forum thing. And remains my only.
If any of you used to play Gang Garrison a while back, you may have known me as a cornered civilian, ACC, or Bolo Santosi.
eg. You were killed by a cornered civilian.

Not that any of you played Gang Garrison.

   |   Re: What's Behind the Alias?Grif is the first four letters of my last name, and I sometimes go by the name.
The sequence of numbers is fairly meaningless; I believe 3922 was a middle-school ID number, which got lost somewhere to 392, and I now try to avoid the numbers whenever possible.
