Power supply
I need a new power supply, since my mother made the desk close the power supply cooler so it is heating and now it stopped spinning, I am needing a low cost cooler replacement until i have money to buy another.

Re: Power supply
So go to your nearest computer store and buy a twenty dollar supply or something. Just don't play any games at all on the thing.

Re: Power supply
Yes, that seems safe for use around live electronics

Re: Power supply
uh unless you've got a high-output power supply it should be fine if you take the casing off and let it sit free inside your computer. if you're worrired about electricity hazards you can always get some mesh from your neighbor's screens and glue it over the innards.
or if you're really worried about it I'm sure your computer has some fans elsewhere on it, just replace the one inside your power supply w/ one of those.
tbh it seems like a non-issue.
