Re: Me topic!
Welcome!
I am part Czech myself, though only like an 8th to 16th... When it comes to modding it would be wise to listen to cavecricket, as he is one of the most creative modders I have seen around.
Anyways, Cheers, enjoy Cortex Command and the Forums!

Re: Me topic!
Thanks for the links Cricket. I still do have some questions which weren't answered by those topics, but I am sure I'll learn the answer after I play around with the ini's a bit.

Re: Me topic!
Hello there,
Hope your initiation wasn't too bumpy - Threads like this in the past have attracted a lot of negative attention due to various users, thankfully we now have a great community and some robotic moderators that monitor this forum almost 24/7 when they aren't running a simulation of how to initiate a "Scorched Earth" policy in CC.
Might I recommend the District 9 mod for excellent vaporisation and gibbing, along with the creeper vines!
Dobrou chuť.

Re: Me topic!
If I were to recommend any mods, I'd definitely agree with the D-9 mod. Sure, it's horribly overpowered, but if you saw the movie, you'd see how appropriate that is. And the effects for the explosives are perfect, with a smoke effect that's even complete with the lightning charge seen in the movie. Plus, the smoke trails on the ARs are BEAUTIFUL.
Also, the Dummy Behemoth mod is pretty ballin' (Armored Brain Units for Dummies). But I prefer version 1.01; the newest one makes it so there are no entrance wounds and so it doesn't look nearly as battle-torn.
The Creeper-Vines and Tiberium mod are both really good, and they are both dangerous and quickly spread throughout the map. Careful, though, if you choose to use either you're probably going to suffer some casualties. Which brings me to my next recommendation...
The Cordyc. Perfect for tandem use with the Tiberium mod, as they turn out to be immune to it. Their weapons convert enemies into one of their own, and you can even evolve them to more advanced types of Cordyc. Pretty damn epic, if you ask me.
The Brutality Mod is great; makes skirmishes that much more frantic and difficult. Also, even though you yourself become much more vulnerable (if a random gib from, say, a door ends up hitting you in the head, you're gonna die in a bit, and two shots to the leg are gonna kill you eventually), I think you feel more powerful, too. The new sounds are great, the sniper has the perfect impact force, and man, using the rocket launcher just makes me feel unstoppable...until, of course, one of the pieces of shrapnel flies into my head when I stupidly fire at a nearby dropship and I die.
Finally, the DarkStorm mods are pretty good, but I'm sure you already have them. They just feel like a truly-elite faction to me.
Well, that's all I've got to recommend so far, enjoy your time in the DRLFF, and if I were you I'd definitely check out those mods.

Re: Me topic!
I'll look on the mods as soon as possible. Also, yeah, I do already have DarkStorm.
EDIT : Now when I think of it, when I firstly asked if mods are working in the unregistered version......I wonder why I just didn't try it out O.O

Re: Me topic!
Just a quick question, but how old are you? Anyway, with that out of the way, if you'd like some scenes in one convenient .rar file, you can find them right here.Yes it's blatant self-promotion, but damnit, we don't have sigs anymore.
