Re: Multiwinia
So I downloaded the demo and tried it out. Before I knew what hit me I found my self in an extremely colorful trance with lazers, flying grenades, flamethrowers and stick figures.
The simplicity is amazing, you are basically handed some multiwinians and go straight ahead for battle. The sheer speed at wich you need to play contributes to the stress you have to endure, and since that is really hard to provoke in a game (at least now-a-days) I give them kudos for that.
The only part that seams to lack work is multiwinian organization, some battle formations wouldn't hurt(unless they have some in the non-demo game or they exist and I can't find them :V). Even though you can make officers it's kind of hard to manage everything at once.
Given all the pro's and cons I'd say that this is really worth giving the 9.99.

Re: Multiwinia
There is an officer formation. Tell an officer to move to an area next to him, and there should be a little rectangular formation showing.

Re: Multiwinia
Finally someone did something like this. Epic defense, three fully stuffed troops, each with it's own gun turret. Also blue was just about dead, and the southern Red Islanders gave up. Just like my Dyson plan, en masse, and destroy.

Re: Multiwinia
Introversion has yet to make a game that I haven't fallen in love with. Yes, even Uplink. That game was the ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ back in 2001. I played the bejesus out of that demo and was so happy to see it for purchase on Steam.
I've been meaning to give Multiwinia a try. I tried the demo to Darwinia a while back so I'll give this one a go.
EDIT: ♥♥♥♥ I need to buy this game.

Re: Multiwinia
OK yeah I bought it. But no one is ever playing, which is unfortunately the downfall of some really great games. So if any of you have it and you want to play, PLEASE Steam message me. (ID: FatalFlux)
Danke.
