Try using Xpadder.

That's what I use when a game has bad/no gamepad support.

Thats what I use, xpadder has no stick sensitivity, you move the stick a small bit you walk move it all the way and you run same with aiming. Xpadder moves at 1 standard speed makeing aiming hard.
The xbcd drivers have that but wireless controllers arn't supported yet :(

Hmm.

In that case, you're pretty much ♥♥♥♥ for trying to use any gamepad on a game that doesn't support it.

Sucks. :x

Hmm, that's odd. Since stick acceleration and how much you pull, the faster it goes, is quite important!

Thought that the support for X360 controller would be better in Orange Box since it's also on 360. Although I must say that they didn't finetune the controls enough for the 360 version of Orange Box, TF2 especially, it felt kinda stiff and jerky sometimes, Call of Duty 4 has excellent stick-feel, in terms of speed and acceleration.

But yeah, I love playing with a controller, mostly because it's more comfortable. But yeah, mouse is probably a bit fast and accurate. Although, I dunno, you might find some joystick/gamepad servers in TF2? I remember seeing one in Quake 3 Arena, so it's not impossible, but the chance of one existing for TF2 is probably slim to none! But good luck! :)

TF2 natively supports 360 controllers but you have to enter exec 360controller into the console for it to work. I like playing with the keyboard and mouse better though.

If anyone goes and enters exec 360controller and gets pissed at the menus enter exec undo360controller.

Soldier and Medic classes kick ass Soldier just rocket rapes and medic ubers people.

Obvious statement is obvious...

What's your Steam ID? I'd love to show you how a real Soldier plays.

Real soldiers don't play. They're obsolete until the demoman gets nerfed.

Best thing for a medic to go with is pyro, assuming you're taking out a sentry or a giant ♥♥♥♥ of enemies.

I hate good demo men >:[
My steam id is OrvosTheGreat
When I play soldier I usually just wait for the enemy to come to me and aim a little to much in one direction and I NEVER waste rockets.

No, you hate ALL Demomen. Like Venn said, demomen are overpowered, just go to Ubercharged.net and look for some of the posts.

if you do successfully play TF2 with your 360 controller, and you had a mic attached to the controller, would the mic work for tf2? that would be pretty cool.

and i think the demomen are not overpowered. yes they annoy me when you dont see the sticky nades in your ass or on your face, but still, thats the fun of the game! i love killed soldiers and demos with crit nades/rockets as a pyro. it makes my day. yes they are good against some classes but get raped by others. but that is for every class.
