Please Reveiw My New Graphics Card
Yes I have not posted in ages mainly because I was at boarding school for a while and I had no access to Datarealms, But now I am back hopefully . Now...getting on topic my good comp broke down do to some technical difficulties (I dropped it while moving) so I had to revert a hunk of junk desktop that is only compatible with regular crappy PCI cards.I wanted to put my games on the computers so I got the best card I could find for it and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is any good. Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.93GHz (2932 MHz) Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP, 32-bit (Service Pack 2) RAM: 2.5 Gigs DirectX version: 10.0c GPU processor: GeForce 8400 GS Driver version: 181.20 Stream processors: 8 Core clock: 567 MHz Shader clock: 1400 MHz Memory clock: 333 MHz (666 MHz data rate) Memory interface: 64-bit Memory: 512 MB Video BIOS version: 62.98.20.00.51 IRQ: 19 Bus: PCI Express x1

Re: Please Reveiw My New Graphics Card
really? I thought it was a hunk of crap. My last comp was a quad core so I am really noticing definite speed and graphics differences.

Re: Please Reveiw My New Graphics Card
That looks pretty sound for a, uh, not PCI-Ex 16x bus. You probably won't be able to play the newest games on the market, but it will be good for the rest. Also of note is that it generally (and, for that matter, unsurprisingly) performed better in tests than its ATI counterpart.
However, the only way to really see if it's good is to try it out.
EDIT: Oh, and the Pentium 4 is just about the best single-core processor you can get. Compared to a quad core, sure, it's not that great, but you should be fine.

Re: Please Reveiw My New Graphics Card
It can handle fallout 3 on med settings so I guess its alright yet it is simply overwhelmed by garry's mod and CSS unless they are played in DX 8 with low settings

If the ATI COUNTERPART was an actual counterpart and not just SOMEONE THINKS THIS IS THE ATI COUNTERPART it would perform equally.

But evn that machine ahs way more RAM than any default system that the main OEM companies make. Most non-gaming platforms have no more than 1GB.

Re: Please Reveiw My New Graphics Card
Crysis isn't that RAM-intensive, though.
I've never seen it take more than about 600mb from me.
