I don't know if you've already found an ok card, but you wanted cheap, right?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814150229
With the current rebate, $64. It will run Spore, but it's definitely not an 8800, as you can tell from the price and the fact that it's an 8600.
For that price you could buy two and use SLI if you have the right motherboard and power supply.
Anyway, it's cheap and spore-capable, and it seems pretty small. If you can, measure your current card.

Yeeess. Remove card, measure with tape measure or ruler. Or just open the case and use a ruler and an educated guess.
It will probably fit unless your case is helluvasmall.

Yeah. You guys, we don't even know if he has PCI, PCI-E or an AGP connection. That dxdiag tells us nothing. He needs to run everest or something similar to tell us.

A geforce 7900 will run spore and comes in PCI-E and AGP flavors. I suggest that.

btw card memory hardly matters it's pixel shader and vertex shader version is where it is at

By the way I had your current card a while ago. Mine was AGP. It's a very bad card.

I would say it's PCI.
Not PCI express, just PCI

I believe PCI cards aren't even sold anymore, so you realy should check is there is a slot like this(the top one) on your motherboard.
