Don't listen to him, Tiger Direct is fine.
He'll probably suggest Newegg, which is better--if better is the same as more expensive.
What is your total allocated budget?

$183, unless I wait until the 16th, when I may get a bit of birthday money.
I may just do that, seeing as rushing something like this isn't exactly the way to go...

Thor's a hurr, TigerDirect is much more expensive than Newegg. Plus, Newegg doesn't buy FAILED BATCHES OF CPUs. I'm currently awaiting an order from Newegg. 830 dollars for an 8800GT, 3 gigs of RAM, 3.2 ghz proc, mobo PSU etc.

Re: Building a computer, need opinions.
Guess I'll go and compare a few things myself between the two sites.
Also, I'm not expecting much more for my birthday, $20-40 is a safe bet.
And on a last note, I'm not trying to build anything really powerful here. If I could, I'd take the motherboard out of the computer I've got now, buy a case, hook up everything I've got right now and be done with it. Except for the fact that I can't get the motherboard out of this case without brutally maiming it.
EDIT: I can't take the motherboard out, but I could take the processor out, couldn't I? That'd be one less thing to buy...

Ok, just a bit more guidance on this now. Looked around a bit, checked up on a few things, pretty much changed everything I planned on getting. Which is now: Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811119047Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813130132Thermal paste: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6835100007CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103774Has 350w PSU and GeForce 8600 GT already, as well as the HD and CD/DVD drive. I'm pretty much ready to get all of the above now, but I'd like to make sure I didn't mess anything up.

Good thing you asked. No need for thermal paste, AMD heatsinks come with it, and they WILL void your warranty if you replace it. Also, your case is same as mine, except mine's gray instead of blue.

So, sans the thermal paste, I'm good?

Oh, mah B. I'd've waited a bit though, to buy the card. New ♥♥♥♥ 's about to hit the market and they're gonna be practically giving away 8800s.

And Tucker is wrong, they will not void your warranty for that. What they will do is void your warranty if your CPU fails from heat damage (which will occur at some point). Buy the thermal paste.

You're wrong, idiot. I got the same thing, just more power, and it said that in the ♥♥♥♥ product info. Thor needs to get the ♥♥♥♥ out.
