Figured that this'd be a cool find to share.

Now, the genre is technicaly RTS but it plays much more like a simulation. Instead of doing the typical RTS thing, y'know commanding units and such, you teach these guys. There aren't any classes or structures to worry about, neither are there cars or waypoints. Or any way to directly control your peons. They learn themselves :D.

You run your group through a simulation in which they gradualy (read:supar slowly) learn that bullets hurt and walls are solid objects. It's a niche game but considering anyone who visits this forum plays a 2d, sidescrolling physics-enabled run 'n gun/tactical computer game, the odds are some people could find it interesting :).

Just a general point to anyone that plays, the tutorial is quite seriously putting twenty minutes down as the fastest time to make your team. There are, however; a couple tricks to speed things up :

One. Put the wall really close to your spawn, increase the lifetime of the clones. Let them get around it, unless they're quite stupid it should only take about five minutes :D.

Next, pause the simulation (P, I think) and move the wall somewhere else. The tricky part is that you should try to kill every unit that goes to where the wall was, this way you're teaching them to create new paths every time. Anyways, after they find the relocated wall, move it one final time. This time around, make it more of a box with one opened end, rewarding the seventh or eigth one to successfuly get inside. That should take about twenty five minutes, and by then they should know how to combat enemies too ... the makings of a rudimentary army.

Final note, I did say it's a niche game - don't expect love at first sight :D.
