PC upgrade?
I've been thinking about upgrading my PC... I currently have a 1.86 ghz dual core, 2 GB RAM, and an nVidia 7300LE with 512mb memory. I don't have a lot of money, so I can't upgrade it that much- in fact, at maximum I can spend $300ish. What should I upgrade, and to what? Also, can anyone recommend a good, cheap gaming mouse? My ships-with-the-computer optical is a little less sensitive then I'd like it to be.

Re: PC upgrade?
Your hardware sounds pretty--uh--sound. I dont know why you would need an upgrade.
Consider cool peripherals like a bigger, widescreen monitor. You can get a godo Phillips or Samsung flat-panel LCD for under 300 USD. I got a 19" Samsung WS for 210 USD after shipping.
Then you can spend the rest of your money buying a good laser mouse.
Laser is the way of the future.

Re: PC upgrade?
I have a nice 22" widescreen monitor that was about 200 or something.
Also, if anything I would upgrade the video card. See if you can get something in the 8000 series for 300. Can be done.

Re: PC upgrade?
What kind of processor is that, exactly, a Core 2 Duo? That's pretty much the best line of processors out right now. Your RAM's great, and the video card is decent.
Is there any big reason you're compelled to upgrade? I'd save the money...

Re: PC upgrade?
Screen is 19", standard ratio, and I don't need that much HD space. So, I should look at an upper-range 8600/lower range 8800, if anything?

Save the money. No reason to upgrade.
If you're really looking to burn a hole in your pocket with that money, give it to me instead.

I would like to note he has logged in three times since saying he's leaving.
Leaving and lurking are two different things.
