   |   Re: Brutality ModThis is sexy. I love the lack of hud, and the general aesthetic.

   |   Re: Brutality Modthe way he deleted the actor health text is by editing the bitmap that the game reads the font from
unforunately this same font is used for the buy menu GUI

you can't have one without the other, and there's no good workarounds

ps since this is a total conversion you need to back up your main game files before installing it

   |   Re: Brutality ModIf you want all text back all you have to do is find the font bitmap files in the GUIs/Skins/Base and GUIs/Skins/MainMenu in vanilla and copy them over the equivalent files in the module installation. I don't recommend it, but whatever you want.

   |   Re: Brutality Modyou only need to get the vanilla 'smallfont.bmp' file in the base.rte/GUIs/skins/base to get the text back.

   |   Re: Brutality Modthis looks scary. It also looks like it fits in with the AI's ruthless dumb attitude.

   |   Re: Brutality ModThis is really cool. I don't think there have been any total conversions of the game that try to alter gameplay so radically. And you single handedly changed the atmosphere of the game, too.
Question: When you modified the backdrops did you just repaint them pixel-by-pixel or did you use a filter or some sort of automated process? I was looking into repainting the backdrop in my mod and decided it was too much effort for something that's not a big deal in my mod.

   |   Re: Brutality ModCopy-paste it into paint.net or some image editor, grayscale, use paint/graphics gale and paste it over the original file.

   |   Re: Brutality ModI really like the Armoured beats Gun Infantry beats Explosive Infantry Beats Armoured you got going on. I'll have to try this against some friends.
Though all in all I find this easier than vanilla CC in terms of base defense skirmish.

   |   Re: Brutality ModI dont know if i like this 'OMG You got shot in the leg!! YOU HAVE 10 SECONDS TILL YOU DIE!!!' kinda thing going on.. I had to reduce emission damage because it was a little overkill to me.. Also i think you should completely rid of all GUI if realism is intended...
