Hi, This mod was designed for b24 so it doesn't use b25's AI scripts, still it seems to be compatible, it doesn't override the AI but rather makes small modifications that can make a great difference on the battlefield. The aim of this mod is to make the AI smarter, or should I say less dumb, it contains two soldiers: a commander and a trooper. The Commander has nothing to do with a smarter AI and is just there to give orders to nearby actors (num0: follow me, num1: hold your position, num2: attack), keys can be easily changed in the lua file. As the attack command uses the brainhunt mode it won't work if your enemy doesn't have a brain. Here is a list of keys: The Trooper has a lua enhanced AI that does the following things: _prevents friendly fire(exept of course if you come in the trajectory of the bullet after it has been fired) _keeps a short security distance between troopers to prevent them form stepping on eachother to death _greatly reduces the use of the jetpack, as it is the primary cause for friendly casualties _prevents the troopers with aimode sentry from crouching: no more morons falling from cliffs _allows them to jump over obstacles and holes The trooper also runs quicker than a standard clone and regenerates his health over time. The trooper comes pre-equipped with a compact assault rifle and a pistol. This makes them much more efficient than standard clones. If you want to play against the SAI there is an activity called SAI Massacre in this mod, it's like Massacre but with SAI troopers. Here is a short video of me being utterly anahilated by my own creation: ![]() Download: Attachment:
File comment: Update 2: The brain won't follow orders from the commander anymore. ![]() Downloaded 649 times Everyone is free to use and/or improve this and include it into their mods, just give me a little credit and tell me you use it. I hope you like it.

Simply beautiful. Commanding the AI in this way is probably the best way possible for cortex command, because in that way it is more like an action packed warfare 2d shooting game rather than a drag-box RTS. Now, if the AI wasn't an idiot... I guess this mod is going to be a ♥♥♥♥♥ in B25! EDIT: Well, so far I keep loving it, it gives that military feel. Still, two things you could try to change would be the jetpack use (if there is a hole in the ground they will just throw themselves in, and maybe that's an original AI problem, or the inverse case, if they are trapped inside a hole they won't fly out of it), that, and the terrain rape they do when walking. It's pretty big. And I lived a pretty awesome moment with this guys. I played at the desert to have flat terrain to move around, using a squad of 3 troopers and a commander, I issued them to follow me, walked around, told them to hold positions when an enemy dropship appeared and they efficiently shot it down. My commander died, and I took a while to get another one, and believe me that the moments in which the troopers were alone were the best, they didn't shoot themselves and were actually killing guys. Seriously, it was the longest time I've seen 3 soldiers without getting even damaged, they weren't a threat to themselves anymore. This mod is awesome. Just a better "real" AI and we are all set with this mod. |

Thanks a lot, Asklar wrote: Still, two things you could try to change would be the jetpack use (if there is a hole in the ground they will just throw themselves in, and maybe that's an original AI problem, or the inverse case, if they are trapped inside a hole they won't fly out of it), I think the jetpack is too unstable and dangerous, so to resolve this problem I gave the troopers the ability to jump(update1); Asklar wrote: and the terrain rape they do when walking. Never played that game, still thanks; If you want to play against the SAI there is now an activity called SAI Massacre: the same as massacre but with the SAI. I also updated this with the SAI: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=24088&p=420469#p420469 |

Humble indie bundlers can get it on their HIB page, but only if you bought HIB2 or HIB3 and paid more than the average price (which was about $4.80 if I read correctly). |

I'll never stop using this mod, this is the best way to control group of soldiers quickly. |

Thanks, This seems to work with b25 (at least for me, tell me if you have any problem), and even though it is now a bit outdated since the AI is now lua bases I find it still is quite useful and this AI is still a force to be reckoned with. |

Could you make it so that when the soldiers use shields, they don't stupidly crouch, making the shields disappear? In every other situation then using a shield, lying on your belly is helpful. And I know your mod doesn't use it, but where are these new B25 actor AI routines? |

Tested it on Zombie Cave, there a bit of a problem with the fact that the brain actor follows the orders as well, resulting in it simply walking into danger when he should stay safe. |

I just corrected that. Awesomeness wrote: Could you make it so that when the soldiers use shields, they don't stupidly crouch, making the shields disappear?
