This mod has now been released in my experimental weaponry mod, a compilation of my best mods, available here:
viewtopic.php?f=61&t=25172

This heavy UAV is designed to be used against armored targets such as bunkers and armored vehicles, its 20mm HEAT autocannon is able to pass through almost anything,
and its light bombs allow it to fight infantry with great efficiency, however it is very vulerable to aircraft attacks as its cannon can only be aimed towards the ground.
Its heavy plating and reliable systems allow it to take a fair amount of fire before being seriously damaged.

Image

HUAV-22 Specs:

Weapons:

1 20mm Autocannon loaded with HEAT shells
8 light fragmentation bombs

Targeting systems:

TC-14 targeting computer
OTAS-15 optic target aquisition system
LTS-15 laser targeting system

Defensive systems:

Medium density reflective composite armor (medium protection against impacts, good protection against light piercing weapons, good protection against lasers)
Note: reflective doesn't mean it sends the progectiles back but that it has a very good protection against lasers.

Support systems:

TTC-2 tactical teleportation chamber used to teleport cannon shells and bombs
SZMCFG-34 small sized magnetically contained fusion generator
SS-52 stabilization system
UAVPS-6 propulsion system
ECA-12 internal high power encrypted communications array used for remote control

Although heavily plated, internal systems may be damaged by sustained fire, the most likely system to be damaged is the generator, as it is big and easily damaged.
A damaged reactor can reduce the power output and therefore the efficiency of the most power consuming systems(propulsion and teleportation).
If the reactor is highly damaged its power output may become very unstable and damage the UAV further. The reactor is designed to be able to be damaged but sill
work, so it won't let you down suddenly but rather gradually.

The default key to drop a bomb is num0, but it can be customized in the UAV.lua file, to do this change the value of self.BombKey (line 3) to any of these values:

Thanks to Lizardheim for the sprites.

This is the best UAV you've done.

Nothing sexier than making bombing runs and penetrating light bunker walls/roofs with the HEAT autocannon.
Very satisfying to use.

You REALLY need to lower the terrain rape on that cannon.

It is designed to pierce bunker walls, so of course it will dig holes in the terrain, it is meant to do that.

You can have it damage the contents of bunkers without melting them wholesale.

It doesn't melt them wholesale, it just makes a hole in it, like it would in the real world.

Edit:
I'll also make another version with a HE cannon that will do almost no damage to terrain for those who don't like it.
Edit-2:
Done

There seems to be a problem when I try to load this mod, it says:
Code:
Failed to load datafile object with the following path and name:

Coalition.rte/Devices/Weapons/AssaultFire.wav

Any help?

That means that for an unkown reason this file has been deleted, here it is, along with assaultfire2 in case you need it too:

Just extract this in Coalition.rte/Devices/Weapons/

Thanks, after a bit of looking it seems they've changed the location of the sounds to Coalition.rte/Effects/Sounds/.

Ok I just noticed that, I have these files in both directories, if you have this problem just redownload the mod, the new version should be compatible with every version of CC.

This is just epic I use both versions depending on how I want to play but I thank you ever so much for making a UAV that stays still once not in direct control!!

You're welcome, if you're interested in other UAVs here are some smaller ones I made some time ago, they're not as good as this one however.
