ClearEye Laser Missile [Mod Contest Winner: Lasers]
x . .Notes on your ClearEye Missile: Simply point it at your enemy's base, watch the missile fly, deploy drones, and designate a target for an orbiting cannon. This is not a defensive or close quarters weapon, for obvious reasons. The core is vulnerable during the targeting process, but this is rarely an issue, thanks to the drone barrage. ClearEye Systems is not responsible for any losses incurred through the use of it's products. ClearEye Laser Missile [Mod Contest: Lasers] Many thanks to beta testers: Jackal, dragonxp, gtaiiilc, Mono The Elder & thesoupiest New Version! 1.1: Behaves a bit more like an orbital strike! Re: ClearEye Laser Missile [Mod Contest: Lasers]
Now, this is a great mod. I only have two real complaints, otherwise, one of the coolest superweapons. The drones are a really nice touch.
Now, the complaints;
First, fix the sprite. It looks like some kinda giant, blue-plastic toy. Not good. Maybe something Hi-tech looking and tacticool, instead?
Second, a bit of a nitpick, it states that it targets an orbital strike, but the initial beams do very little damage, and the final blast comes from the core, more like a bomb, rather than a strike. If the core is in a building, it still detonates INSIDE. Maybe have a projectile drop down on the target point, or generate it at the point where the center laser hits?

Im pretty sure the beams aren't meant to do damage rather then generate a nice laser targeting effect.

Yeah, I can't sprite for crap I found that if the beams did damage, then tended to burn through the terrain, and kill everything before the final bit. But making the thing a bit more like an orbital strike is definitely possible, and I might have time to do that before work.

Good God, I love this with a passion. Honestly, with a passion. I don't think the sprite is horrible, but I do agree on the fact that it is huge. I sent you a PM on it anyways, no need to go into detail on it here.

Re: ClearEye Laser Missile [Mod Contest: Lasers]
its good but the turrets and targeting lasers kill everything before the main blast making it kinda redundant

Crap.
I took one day extra to publish my mod and I realise someone else already did basically the same idea. Mine is quite different, though, specially because your effects are better than mine. Now I don't really feel like publishing mine.

Hell yeah, publish anyways! We never get enough entries, and besides, people tend to judge their own this excessively harshly, so it's probably better than you think

Re: ClearEye Laser Missile [Mod Contest: Lasers]
I'm sorry, I'm pretty new here, but for some reason i am having some trouble installing this . When i install the clear eye folder inside the zip it seems to not recognize it as a mod. I tried the new folder, same name trick with no luck, does it have anything to do with the macosx? Can somebody give me instructions, because somehow this mod seems to work differently for me.
