Hi, Assault UAV: This is a small assault UAV armed with a light MG, its armor plating is very thin so it is easily destroyed, however since it is very small and agile it is very hard to hit. A pic: Bomber UAV: A light bomber UAV, equipped with a pistol turret and light bombs, press num0 or 0 to drop a bomb. Easily destroyed since the impact detonated bombs are unprotected. A pic: Mine Deployer UAV: A light bomber UAV, equipped with an SMG turret and anti personnel mines, press num0, 0 or middle mouse button to drop a mine. Easily destroyed since the mines are unprotected. A pic: UAB: Unmanned Aerial Bomb, fire to detonate. Commented out, no sprite. Flamer UAV: A light assault UAV, equipped with a flamer. A pic: Thanks to Lizard for the new sprites and for his helpful suggestions. Download: Attachment: Old: I may make other UAVs such as flamethrower UAV, heavy UAV, bomber UAV...etc. |

very nice also a flamethrower uav will rock 4/5 mainly because of sprite i would help but i suck at modding im looking forward to this being expanded |

oh, heh. i don't really know about how lua too much and i saw it in the craft menu and it acted like a craft, so i assumed it was a craft. that's pretty cool though. |

I am actually glad you mistook it for a craft since I tried to make is act almost perfectly like a craft, that means I succeeded. |

Updated to V1.20:
New sprites by Lizard Bombs can now be dropped using the middle mouse button (num0 and 0 still work) Corrected some mistakes in the lua scripts The game won't crash anymore when the bomber is gibbed (tested 25 times without a single crash) Added gibs Made the bombs a bit less powerful Reduced the Assault UAV's ROF a bit Made the bullets a bit more visible to make aiming while moving easier Removed terrain rape |

I just re uploaded the file with a fix that should work, please re download. Edit: this fix also corrects the bomber exploding when shooting and changes a few other things |

I love how each bomb is dropped separately and leaves a gap where it was in the bomb bay. It's a nice little effect. |

I really like the bomber. Flinging grenades at people from above just never gets old. You need to verify that the grenades are valid MOs before you access them to avoid the crashes, just checking for nil is not enough. The "MovableMan:ValidMO" function should suffice, but remember that the MO is not reported as valid until the frame after it was added. The game sometimes reports "dead" MOs as valid, so it can be a good idea to also check that an MO's PresetName isn't "Entity". |

Thanks, it seems there aren't any crashes left(correct me if I'm wrong), but I'll use this in the future. edit: btw i'm planning to release 2 more UAVs today. edit-2: thesoupiest wrote: I love how each bomb is dropped separately and leaves a gap where it was in the bomb bay. It's a nice little effect. Thanks, also if a bomb gets hit 2 times or with sufficient impulse while attatched to the bomber it will detonate, destroying the bomber and detonating the other bombs. |
