Gurren Lagann: Yoko
Wikipedia wrote: Yoko Littner, the series' lead female character, a young woman from the village of Littner. She has considerable combat experience even before her chance meeting with Kamina and Simon. I know her hair is more purple, but cc's palette isn't. Red was the closest I could get. I spent about... 7 hours(?) straight making this, over 3 days.

Re: Gurren Lagann: Yoko
Well, I'd say make her hair even redder. Like in EAF, there's a redhead there whose color fits better... Otherwise, cool. You gonna add more?

It took me 7 hours to make one, and there are gunmen as well. So, probably not. I made the hair different on purpose to fit the cc style, and Yoko had no shading in Gurren Lagann, or at least not much. EDIT Actually, It does look better... Fixing it right now.

Re: Gurren Lagann: Yoko
Even if I don't know anything about the anime, I love the tomboyish redhead stereotype, so I am downloading this mod and will edit this post to include comments later. Also CC needs more ladies . Thank you mr.Hutch. Edit: I played with her and the only problems I have are these: (1) I think her rifle is a bit nerfed and (2) Her features need to be bolded I think. Sometimes I lose her in the scenery :S

Re: Gurren Lagann: Yoko
I think the sprites need a lot more work. They need details, heavier shading, outlines, etc. And it is better to translate Yoko into CC proportions if you want her to visually fit into CC.
Now there was also a Yoko mod made back in B23 and those sprites fit in with CC better, though they aren't top notch. You might want to look into that. You might even be able to use those sprites and expand them if you can contact the author.
I am a small Gurren Lagann fan so I would definitely like to see this gets improved and expanded. The former first, though.

Although, that being said, I agree with adding outlines.

I downloaded the mod and tested it. That's what I'm seeing.
It definitely needs outline, and CC proportions.

What do you mean by CC proportions?

Re: Gurren Lagann: Yoko
The body proportions. Your current Actor's head is much smaller than regular CC Actors. CC has this quasi-chibi style to it.

Re: Gurren Lagann: Yoko
It is half supposed to be, it looks more realistic, and it sort of fits. As in, it looks alright.

Re: Gurren Lagann: Yoko
No you see, it's actually pretty bad, no outlines, no attention to shape when shading, her legs look fat, hair looks flat, etc.

Re: Gurren Lagann: Yoko
Nope, but I can say that the sprites look flat and uninteresting. Don't have to watch no fancy japanese cartoon to see that.

Re: Gurren Lagann: Yoko
If you emulate a style, emulate it well. If you don't, make it fit the style of what you're putting it in.

Re: Gurren Lagann: Yoko
Just to state a plain obvious fact Lizard: They are meant to be flat.
You don't have to like the mod.
411570N3. Well said.
Even though I don't know what you think about it.
